I have had pet insurance before although make sure you read the coverage well. MRI, CT's and other technology availble and covered by human insurance is not covered by pet insurance. That said if you can keep around $3500 in reserve you can cover most serious emergency room visits for your pet. If your pet is like your kid "like mine" and you don't have the cash in reserve then it is a good idea to get a little pet insurance. By the way just call your vet they can hook you up with companies that they like to deal with and would benifit you and your pet. Rosie Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!! -

Heimlich is used when they can't cough anymore. 1)Are you choking? (They probable will be grabbing there throat). Call for help and or dial 911 2) If they are coughing encourage them to continue. 3) Once they stop coughing Heilich until it clears or they pass out. 4) When unconcious check for breathing try to clear obstruction with finger sweep. (I think this is still good but please correct me if I am wrong.) 5) If not breathing rescue breaths and CPR if heart quit. Heilich saved my life when I was 10, thank god the lady that was watching me knew how to do it! When my mom got home she yelled at me when I spit up strawberry chunks all over her white curtains. She changed her tune when the lady was crying and told her the story. Some day I will have the best staff in the world!!!
