    Auburn????

Ah yes, there have been developments. Apologies for the previous post, as to I was not informed(timing). My response was based on the "rumor" that a final ride had been taken. Thankfully, no physical injuries, just mental. Dame Bramage to the Nth degree. I received personnal notice to said activites, and then, of course saw the front page this morning. The article is accurate, but the details not mentioned are amazing! I have always given the report, "Lava on one side, Icicles on the other". Currently, the magma has taken over. The polar icecaps have disappeared. You want to be Cool?, then here is the "HOT tip"---take it off the wish list. (unless you are made of asbestos) Will update, as needed/necessary. Info only via email. Pls, no topic related phone traffic, it is already ballistic. Appreciate all the good thoughts. Be safe. _M www.asylumbase.com

  4. Hey Space, This could be a standing "week opening post". Equipment is static. "Use of" is dynamic. The understanding and knowledge of use are the ingredients mandatory for longevity. We are always on student status. There is always more information to provide confidence, security, and understanding of limitations. Commitment to the process. There is never a need to accelerate, it is already going too fast. Take a moment to breath and process, and this will lead to a more methodical approach. It is not a race. There are no winners, only survivors. "IT" is not how many you have, but how long you did "how many". Equipment MUST be transparent. Discipline and focus will allow the user to be open to the possibility of technique and proper behavior. We all have the choice. Slow Down. Do not talk about it, take action---- BE safe. _M www.asylumbase.com
  5. Karen Cap'n Hookitt is delibertly being a knuckle-head. I think it is windy in TF. _M www.asylumbase.com
  6. Thanks That is what I also thought. Sliding knot sounded a little strange, due to the fact that the knot does not slide while in use. Only slides if you, the user decides to "slide" the postion. _MT www.asylumbase.com
  7. Julian, Thanks for taking the time to come up to the shop. Good to meet you and hear about your recent adventures. Glad you made it back to home all in one piece. see ya next time you are in NorCal. _MT www.asylumbase.com
  8. Tom, Sliding knot,- is this what you refer to as overhand knot on the brake line, with the brake line(above the knot) making a larks head around the toggle/grommet, with the knot providing bulk to prevent the setting from slipping? _MT www.asylumbase.com
  9. Question: Is is the brake setting or the toggle setting? Also, another question is- what type of object was this pack-job intended? Either way, I would take it out to line stretch, make your adjustment, reposition your tail placement, do a continuity check, and you should be good. I would not just "tuck it in". This can lead to a possible tension knot---OUCH!! ANY what ifs, lack of focus, distractions, or second guess, then you must start completely over. Besides, your X-ray vision does not work so well when you have your rig on your back and you are listening to all the screaming in your head!!! And final thought, if you have enough time to post and ask a question, then you definitely have time to re-pack. So-- that is really your answer! Have Fun! _MT www.asylumbase.com

  12. Russel, Heal fast. No pain, but lots to gain. I can appreciate what you do not feel. Patience, in which you know all too well, is once again your bed-side companion. Looking forward to hearing your perspective of the incident. MT www.asylumbase.com
