A few weeks back we had a class from OSU come out to skydive. One of the students could have been the twin brother of one of our instructors. We have a picture in the office just to make sure we can tell them apart

The problem with hydrogen is that the vast majority of it is being generated from CH4 (natural gas) in a process called steam reforming. When Katrina hit last year a major portion of the hydrogen production in the US came to a standstill and put a world of hurting on the industry that depends on hydrogen. Just in the very recent past have there been smaller steam reformers that could be located at gas stations, etc. But even with these reformers, we still generate hydrogen from natural gas. So why aren't we using the natural gas immediately???

Well, I can't compete with that, but in 2004 I took a trip from Ohio to Medora NP (ND), down to Mt. Rushmore, into Nebraska, up into Montana and into Yellowstone NP, over to Bear Lake, Salt Lake City, Moab, Grand Staicase Escalante, Bryce Canyon NP, Zion Canyon NP, Grand Canyon NP and then back home. That was "only" 6000 miles, about half of them on motorcyles. It was great, just not enough time on the bikes (especially in the Rockies)

Well, looks like I will be driving down from Ohio. Gotta make a couple of stops in KY, Atlanta and Newnan, so I probably will be leaving on Sunday. Can't wait for some sunshine!!!

Well, there are many reasons that speak for a standard. *The driver has more control over what is going on, when to shift during acceleration, passing, etc. *Typically, a standard transmission has better fuel milage than an automatic. *But most importantly, they are fun to drive!!!! (explain that to someone stuck in rush hour traffic though) Now if they just come out with DSG's and SMG's etc. on all cars we would have the best of both worlds
