I don't remember much from Eloy.

When I was 16 - 18 I worked at a small hotel in Southern Illinois. Town of maybe 10,000. One night I was working the front desk and a family pulled into the car port. They were all asleep except the father. The father got out and ran in and used the bathroom. A minute later the daughter, my age, came in and used the bathroom. The father walked out of the bathroom, got in the car and drove off. A couple of minutes later the daughter came out of the bathrrom and walked outside. She walked back inside and said, "My damn dad left me!" They were from Chicago about 10 hours away. I called the Highway patrol with the van description and talked to the girl awhile. About an hour later I gave her a free room to wait in. The father came back 3 hours later after the Highway Patrol found his car. Fast forward 11 years later. I move back to Atlanta and I go out with a friend the a strip club. I pay for a dance and she sits down and we start talking. She asked me, "Where are you from?" I said I've been all over but originally I am from (Hometown), Illinois. She said, "I was in (hometown) once. My damn dad left me at a hotel while I was using the bathroom". My mouth hit the floor and we talked about the irony of it. She gave me a free dance and we are still friends to this day.

Yeah but they are the home dz to Skyride and they recently lost their heart and soul of their dropzone Mike Gruwell (Head Rigger and School Manager). He went to the DZ 3 miles away at Skydive The Farm. There are plenty other DZ's in Atlanta that don't have the reputation that ASC has.
