  1. ok, i'll tell ya right now im not a tattoo artist but i do know alot of them. a couple of my buddies own tattoo shops. aka Dr. Jacks Ink Emporium's and Liquid Courage in Omaha. The key to designing a tattoo depends on the type of tattoo. are we talking about tribal or are we talking something realistic like a 15way freefly down his arm? Quickdraw is correct though. if you are gunna do something with alot of detail it has to be a desent size or the tattoo will kinda blob together after a few years. but keep in mind, no matter the size of the design that you create/draw, the tattoo artist that will be doing the tattoo can take your exact design and make it any size it needs to be to eliminate that problem. any other questions i will be happy to answer. Peace-- Rob
  2. if skydiving is something you know your gunna stick with, pay the money and get a pair of prescription goggles. i did and it was worth it. they cost about the same as a pair of glasses.
  3. yeah, dont listen to that negative bullshit. i think tats are hot. ink it up girl. --Rob
  4. i would quit. Dr. usualy knows best. im no Dr. but im sure you could still enjoy "A" beer every once in awhile. i passed a kidney stone in Sept. and it was caused by too much soda and alcohol(diretics = dehydration = kidney stones). when the Dr. told me no more soda or alcohol i quit and im a drinker. but, i still enjoy a drink every so often. no more "getting smashed" though, and drink alot of water before and after. good luck and i wish you good health.
  5. i cant remember what state it was, but(somewhere down S. i think) it is illegal to have an icecream cone in your pocket.
  6. Here's a couple of classics.....1) Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid i'll take over. 2) Don't tailgate me or i'll flick a booger on your windshield.
  7. Yeah, that was my 1st Couch Freaks and all i have to say is wow, hats off. Some of it is still a little fuzzy, but i know i had a blast. And I Agree-- the Hot Air Balloon was nutz!!
  8. yup, i've got the same "illness." ive been jumping for a full year now and my addiction has only gotten worse. i've had many sleepless nights because of jumping. i just keep going over and over my jumps in my mind of hours. then, when thats done, i think about what im gunna do next weekend and so on and so forth. before i know it, it's 500am, the birds are chirping, and i having slept a wink.
  9. too much of anything can be bad for you....except skydiving.
  10. i asked Steven at the DZ this weekend when he and Dave where gunna do the next show and he said tue or wed. so hopefuly it will be back up and running.
  11. OMG! there goes one of those disturbing videos. can you say "OUCH!"
  12. yo, that was some sick video. if you all got Cable, check out the show called Fearless. im almost positive its on OLN. there is about 5diff. Fearless episodes but one of them is all about Jeb Corliss. they have alot more video of him plus they talk w/ him and some other base jumpers. they also have the video of that #1 base jumper dude,(cant remember his name) hit that bridge up in Colorado jumping birdman w/ Jeb. it was very disturbing. it made me question alot of things about myself and the sport.
  13. i think it depends on who you ask. someone with money would probly say NO it cant, but when you ask a broke dude like me i would say hell yeah!
  14. Im 28 and going through a minor mid-life crisis.
  15. cool, thanks for all the info. so the conclusion is drugs, drugs, and more drugs. does the Alegra make you all speedy like the Suidifed?
  16. Polyester Party?! well im glad i came on here and read this. id hate to be the only one in cotton. is there anything else i need to know?..this is my 1st Couch Freaks experience too.
  17. yeah, kinda sounds like what happened to me. the pain was intense(not just because it hurt, but where and why it hurt). it felt like someone was gripping my eyeball from inside my head and squeezing it, the further i fell the worse it got. everyone ive talked to so far has said its do to the sinus's so i think im just gunna O.D. on Suidifed for about a week b4 the boogie. Man i hate that stuff.
  18. i never had a problem with the pressure that builds up in my head during the climb to alt. or the decent until my 1st boogie. on my 4th jump of the boogie, 1/2 way down (@ about 8k) masive pressure built up in my head and it felt like my eye was going to burst and my ears wouldnt come unpressurized, all on my left side. i tried swallowing and the yawning motion during the decent and it did nothing. What causes this and how can i make sure that doesnt happen again? Do you think it could be from the extra 4k of alt. i was getting?(normaly we only go to 10k with the c-182's) OR, Do you think it could be that the Otter and the Kingair climb faster? Im going to another boogie in a couple weeks(Couch Freaks) and i want to make sure it doesnt happen again. any info or suggestions would be great. Blue Skies, Rob
  19. yeah, they just redid the website. it looks nice. there should be more pics to come.
  20. if you have the chance...read page 36 in the Skydivers Information Manual 2005(SIM). its called... Mental Relaxation: the key to body flight. It helped me out soo much. you can buy a copy for around 20or25bucks or download it for FREE! Have fun and Blue Skies!
  21. Yeah, i plan on going to Couch Freaks this year. We are having our boogie July 15-17 at the Plattsmouth Airport in Nebraska. its right on HWY75. We will have a skyvan and the otter from Skydive Arizona. It should be a good time. Music, beer, jumping, etc.... not in that order of course.
  22. i agree with both of you's. i wusnt making safety recommendations. that is what his rigger recommened for him.
  23. well...i dont have much to compare it to but im having a blast. we have 2 c-182's so it keeps things moving along. i stayed current all winter so it wuz pretty chilly at moments...but worth it. lots of corn....freakin corn, its realy tough to get your lines out of it. No regrets though. Looking forward to my 1st boogie. The jumping is fine...everyone is very nice and helpful. Good group of peps.
