I don't think I've ever heard that not said so diplomatically. For Great Deals on Gear

I would say that the USA has adopded the European standards as 8015b is the standard for the 23d. I think the point reusch was trying to make, is that most US manufactures ignore the TSO and put thier new equipment through as minor changes to designs approved under TSO 23c. hence his list Javelin Odyssee Vector III Micron Mirage G4 and Power Racer ?????????? Exactly what non-minor changes have been made to the Racer? For Great Deals on Gear

The Sabre2 openings are considerably better than the original Sabre openings. Please be aware that any canopy can open hard from time to time. For Great Deals on Gear

I have seen someone running a Mac and a Windows machine simultaneously, with Mac OS on one screen, Windows on a second screen, the same keyboard and mouse. The mouse (and files) could be moved from one screen to the other, as though they were the same screen. I'm not sure exactly how it was done, but it seemed to work well. For Great Deals on Gear

Good luck finding that system. Factor in the price of the software, and your no name PC will be just as/more expensive. And slower.

Evolution: Sub 50sqft Canopies
tso-d_chris replied to Mostly_Harmless's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
As I understood at the time, the 21-21 was built specifically to play with wingsuits, so was sized accordingly. There were no intentions of landing the canopy. For Great Deals on Gear -

Older Jump Planes in FAA’s Sights

Does landing an empty plane put as much wear on a plane as landing a loaded plane? For Great Deals on Gear -
There are a couple different schools of thought about how to deal with that situation. Most on here will be unwilling to take a chance of contradicting your instructor's method, so will refer you to your instructor instead of offering advice. For Great Deals on Gear

Not from him, but other sources offer the same observation: Source: http://coscorrosa.com/school/freshman/vc/portfolio/dali.html and Source: http://www.discovery.mala.bc.ca/web/martinar/surrealism/surrealism.htm For Great Deals on Gear

That is what we were taught in a couple Cultural Arts / Humanities courses. There is a LOT of political and religious commentary in Dali's paintings. I just mentioned that which is associated with Persistence of Memory. For Great Deals on Gear

What most jumpers probably do not know is that Dali's fluid clocks were his visual commentary on Einstein's Special Relativity Theory. For Great Deals on Gear

What are your favorite container colors?

I recently sold a Vector in those colors. It came out looking good, also. For Great Deals on Gear -

If you were going to order a brand new container today, what colors would you choose? -
It will still only offer an estimate. The winds are dynamic. They vary with time and space. Measuring at point A still only offers an approximation of winds at point B, even if the two points are fairly close.

I don't know much about the Nitron, but the Stiletto, while a great canopy in its own right, is probably not going to be as suitable for you if you plan on flying higher performance canopies (Katana, Velocity) later. A Sabre2 would be a better intermediate step. For Great Deals on Gear

Gear suitable for a first rig holds its resale value than any other size rig in this sport. As the gear gets smaller, it gets harder to resale. In other words, you are better off buying your early equipment new, and purchasing used stuff for subsequent rigs. The "depreciation" of large canopies immediately upon customer purchase is typically nothing more than the discount from MSRP that most dealers offer on new equipment. A new harness/container has a tremendous advantage over used: a custom fit. The chances are very low that you will be able to find a used container that fits as well as a new one. A common problem with used containers is that they have to have the proper harness size, the proper main container size, and the proper reserve container size for you. If any one of these is not sized appropriately for you, it is a bad choice, regardless of price. If all three of those sizes match, you still have to consider color. Not everybody likes neon pink and camouflage! If you are able to find appropriate used gear, there is nothing wrong with buying used. However, don't let people's advice scare you away from purchasing new gear. For Great Deals on Gear

I would recommend avoiding anything smaller than the 170 until you have at least 200 jumps or more. I realize that probably seems like a lot right now, but it isn't very many jumps. The skill set necessary to fly smaller canopies well is best obtained by flying large canopies. As previously mentioned, a new PD ZP canopy in the 170-190 size range will hold its resale value very well, better than nearly any other canopy size. It is impossible for me to keep enough used canopies in stock in that size range. The demand is very high. For Great Deals on Gear

My roommate had an Alienware P4 3.2 GHz (or similar) that had heat issues. The cause of the issues was the vent cover did not allow enough airflow, in spite of its perforations. He removed the cover, and that fixed all the issues. For Great Deals on Gear
