  1. I've always heard that as long as you can remove the PC by pulling on the bridle, your PC packing method is okay. OTOH, if your PC balls up and prevents itself from escaping the pouch, you need to reevaluate how you pack your PC.
  2. Why do you wish you had a pillow reserve handle? For Great Deals on Gear
  3. I always found it refreshing that a man as talkative as Don could always offer new and useful information, no matter how often you saw him. I will miss his frequent visits to the store and all the conversations we had there and at the Spot. Few have given as much to the sport as Don.
  4. Congratulations! Welcome to the sport!
  5. Read it again. This time pay attention. Focus on the "really tight" part:Then at 9K or so I snug them down really tight, the way I like them in freefall. The problem is that if I did that "really tight" from the start on the ground, my legs would probably be numb from lack of circulation by the time I got to jump run. What's lame is for you (and the others here) to be telling me what is, or is not, comfortable about the way I wear my own rig. I think you missed the whole tongue in cheek aspect of the reply. Sorry if you took it seriously. Except the part about Racers being comfortable, that part was serious.
  6. Using aerated water may not work either. Check here. I wonder if aerated water would behave the same way. Science discovers the strangest things.

  8. Well, when you jump all day, all weekend, you tend to do this just for comfort. I fasten my leg straps, but leave them a bit loose at first. However, they're snug enough to jump in an emergency. Then at 9K or so I snug them down really tight, the way I like them in freefall. The problem is that if I did that "really tight" from the start on the ground, my legs would probably be numb from lack of circulation by the time I got to jump run. I don't really consider that a bad example, just a necessity for frequent jumpers. That's the lamest excuse I've ever heard. You jump a Racer! Do you really expect anyone to believe it's not comfortable? Was it built for a 4'8" 85 lb. girl or something?
  9. No, setting him up for failure. Remember? You said it Go back just a little further. I "set him up for failure" by pointing out different advertising options HH offers, instead of linking straight to the banner ads. You're just trying to get me into trouble. For Great Deals on Gear
  10. You mean offering different options? Yeah, I'll take my chances.
  11. And then there's evil ol' me, trying to set him up for failure! For Great Deals on Gear
  12. No, it's different. The Block Ad is a different type of advertisement that Flyangel2 didn't want you to know about. On the page I linked to, there are three links that will take you to explanations of their respective advertising methods available. Also there is a link that will allow you to see what is currently available. For Great Deals on Gear

  16. One would think that is where it is most likely to work. Judges are often reluctant to enforce non-existent laws. If the FAR does not exist, a conviction is unlikely to result in its "violation."
  17. Actually, I replied to someone else's post, and referred to the "manufacturer," and never named them. Maybe you meant to reply to that post, and not mine? For Great Deals on Gear

  21. Try http://uspa.org. Most US jumpers are members. The few members that don't actively jump are likely offset by the few non-members that do jump. It should give you a ball-park estimate. For Great Deals on Gear
