  4. hiya Billy.. just called work for ya... 35 mins available at 19:25.. Sorry Mr dropzone.com not advertising just ans the question...lol.. blue ones... Dave.
  5. LOL Amazing thing adrenaline. makes the quietest of people do the most amazing things... :) but then again i am sure all us tunnel rats could catch someone unconscious spinning back to earth in a ball no probs every time.. hmmm then again ... sry delusions of Grandure creeping into my head
  6. Id say about twice as far as from the middle to one end....
  7. Ok please dont take this as a personal Dig. First AFF, IS Pass or Fail. In the UK we have an FS manual which skydivers work through when they have done there consolidation jumps after AFF, !! THIS !! is what gets them ready to fly with there friends, I believe in the USA you have skydive U, but im not sure if this runs as in the UK. Fact... if you have tunnel time you will get through this quicker..:) Quote...Any fool can bust a hole thru the sky. These fools often leave the sport when they discover gravity works. A skilled skydiver does it with grace and control...Quote I have seen many people who are new to skydiving doing 4 way.... or trying, getting very frustrated because exits dont fly or they only manage to do 1 point.. if that.. then they get bored and leave... They are not FOOLS they have been let down by the experienced people at there drop zones. I forget how many times i have gone up with relatively inexperienced skydivers and launched a tube or got a group to do a horny gorilla to land and all of them say wow thats a first never done anything like that before it was so much FUN.. We did nothing constructive so to speak just burn a big fat smiling hole in the sky...( some of these guys and girls have never been unstable on purpose since there qualifying dive ) Sometimes you dont even need to jump with them.. just tell a cpl or few of them what to do, tell them what to look out for on the safty side of things and watch them land laughing all the way to the packing mat... personaly i think No one should be looked at as a FOOL ( unless they are dangerous ) just Uneducated. YOU should take time out and talk to these people and help them as i am sure somebody did with you when you first started in this sport. As i said at the begining dont take this personaly, But every skydiver is revenue in our sport and allows dropzones to grow and get better equipment for the masses to use, if people leave then we only have ourselves to blame... Anyway as this thread is in the Tunnel forum, i had better add...... Tunnels are Great and teach you loads.... I know i work in one... Blue skys..
  8. Ok show off now i am jelous.... LOL
  9. Now that looks like a lot of fun..... defo on my way.. be cool to go from the biggest tunnel in the world to one of the smallest, who says size matters when you can fly in the middle of a glass bowl...lol Great to see Travis in there too, if you read this travis i am on my way out there to fly with you buddy... see you all real soon... Dave D (Danny)
  10. Thats asumming you want to learn at an IBA tunnel..... not saying we will let you jump in and try and flip on yr head...lol..
  11. In short its Brilliant for learning head down. But and there is always a But... Don't get bogged down with it, there is so much more to learn. TBH once you have the main head down position correct weather its daffy or straddle, the only coaching tip really is Head back More Legs, yes i know there is more before everybody slams me, but its a neutral position staying in one place on yr Bonce...:) dont forget about all the other stuff which is way more fun.. back carving outface carving stalling. Dont just blow a load of money to be able to get of the net on yr head and not move, Get a good coach that will push you to do lots of stuff you wouldnt do on yr own then practice yrself, then get more coaching and so on.. hope this helps a little. Dave...
  12. YIPPEEE well done you... some body actually listened and made the right choice.... By the way YOU owe Beer because thats a first for Dropzone.com..... May you have many more First's and buy lots of beer.. Welcome to Skydiving...
  13. Cool tunnel... If you go say Hi to Mark the Australian instructor. He was working with me at Bodyflight Bedford. as regards to cost, it is more expensive in Europe and England than the USA, but the more you buy the cheaper it gets so maybe get with some others from yr dropzone to bulk buy an Hr. If no one at yr dropzone are going to the tunnel, then call the tunnel and find out if there are any camps running, a lot of these camps have spare time and as they get a good discount ( sometimes ) the flight time you buy is no more expensive than what it would be if you brought it yrself plus you should get some good coaching thrown in.. Hope this helps. Dave..
  14. can i ask where over here is, what tunnel are you talking about..?
  15. lol love to know where you get yr numbers from... i bet you think yr dick is 9 inches aswell peewee... lol I work at bedford and think both tunnels are awsome, can i ask if you have flown in both.? the only thing you did get right is that they are two totally different tunnels but i think you will find the only thing old at Bedford is the building shell itself.
  16. I never said one was better than the other, and this is a forum that i can say anything i like in wether you ask or not.... maybe you should change yr name from funflyer to just flyer....lol.. just a sugestion.. light hearted joke...
  17. I personaly don't think that .7 of an inch makes a whole lot of difference when it comes to tunnel flying and your enjoyment factor...... there are other subjects that i'm sure this size difference really does matter, said the bishop to the actress.... If its a case of advertising and legal wranglings then i'm sure it will all get sorted in the wash.... As long as i am Flying in a big ...Nah... Huge tunnel, i will always go home with a smile on me face....
  18. LOL i Second that.. Pack neat.. dont look up.. try and be relaxed in the harness..oh yeah and prey every night to the opening gods and sacrifice yr best friends dog ......
  19. Well not 17 but we got 14 at one point and it wasnt planned as you will be able to tell....lol we would have got more in easy but there wasnt anybody else around .... www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=6426
  20. [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFrslhYKGIw[url] Another from Paraclete , dont know if any body has seen this video yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFrslhYKGIw Flying in big tunnels is so cool, it makes for much smoother and slower flying.. Cant wait to get over there and try it out... :) There is going to be some Awsome stuff coming out of that tunnel for sure... Dave..
  21. was the same for me when i was working at Perris. (Nov 06) just popped in to say hi and had a great time, i can honestly say i have not laughed so much and grinned so hard in any tunnel when i have been sobre....the instructors certainly rock... very acrobatic.. I was lucky enough to have been working when they managed to get over to bodyflight bedford too.. I think they had a great time..... They certainly all left smiling... Dave..
  22. The suits fly very different than just baggy suits... less bag more drag... I have an ouragan tunnel suit and I have a Tony Tunnel Suit in the post.. so as soon as i get it i can do an honest unbiased review of both.. They do with out doubt give you a lot more lift, they are much more powerfull, so go easy on the spins n flips the first time you wear one in the tunnel. They also tend to wear quicker than a normal freefly suit as the ZP is more prone to getting caught on the net and getting torn, I know the Tony suit ZP is a lot thicker but we will see if theres any trade off. with the more modern tunnels you do not need ZP suits so much as they tend to have enough power to lift a house.... How ever they are still good for coaching somebody lighter than yrself in all orientations, i find mine great for teaching lighter people that i would normally have no chance of flying with especially on my belly, so ZP shouldnt just be looked at for loads of lift to do head down... If anything they will make you cheat on yr body positions slightly, so you dont have to fly so big and incorect sit positions are just easier to fly, but that doesnt mean its a good position. Hope this helps a little.. Dave..
  23. Ok LOL we got some staff Flying... ( erm . Cough cough.....) TRAINING..tonight i will see how many i can get in there tonight on video. no promises as we get all levels turn up to fly tonight from the cleaners chief's and maintenence. its really a fun night not a training night the owner gives us each week, we all share the time equally and some of the above mentioned are really starting to fly nice too, so my next post should be a link for the vid...... I hope... soft fluffy landings... Dave
