Putting in my 2cent with some photos. A 1/2 sec 48' FF, photo during pulling the packjob and just before a stable canopy (old 400+ 245 Fox). What i make of it is; - Make shure the centercell (the seem) is floating free within the packjob all the way back, this is where the tention starts - It is a god idea to wrap the tail halfway around the packjob, leaving the front alone during opening - The fabrick looks like shite before it gets tention - Don't FF this cliff (55m) everyday - Bought a new rig (vented...) /Johnnyb P.S. Norwegian BigWall season comming up

Just spoke to the MasterOfMorals in V.K.B. and a torrent of the product is a NoNo at the moment, they are thinking about distributing it trough standard channels (buy it). They just had their weekly KaskMeeting, and so is that

Well, sometimes you have to bring lots of stuff both for the trip up, down and back again. Here's a picture of what me and a friend of mine brought with us in freefall (300m). It's a remote spot, and the landing is on a glacier so we needed most of the stuff to get our butts home... Play SAFE

So you all hopefully had a great year, doing some BASEjumping all around the world (or around the local stuff, still tasty...) My best friend CJ (who yesterday left for NZ, and probably will be there for a while) left me with some DV tapes from his jumps aroundt Norway, and this is my edit. Most of the footage (the best FF anyway) is by Douggs, and man that dude got some skills with his CameraEye. So, enjoy this FeelGood movie, i know i promised you some more last time i posted a movie and here ya go CJ.SummerParty.2005 - http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=3106 P.S. I'm kind of proud of this movie, so if you don't like it please watch it again

Like i say in the start of the post, i think it was only Murphy making a point http://www.murphys-laws.com "If anything can go wrong, it will" Thank's for support folkz - there will be jumping again

Status after the impact was some fraction in the lower leg (taking most of the impact, you can actualy see me getting trown back from the rock) and a dislocated sholder (you can se me putting my finger inn where the shoulder should have been (in the vid)), and some doctors trying to put it back again. Wearing mountain-boots, kneeprotection and camerahelmet. The cliff is 160m, and we sometimes do it slider up if there is no wind. It's an awsome place, 15 min from the parking to the exit Think that it was my MultiLift that made the 180, the velcro on the webbing holding the lines together are getting old and wearing off...

We have talked about and around it, and we think what generates the speed towards the object is the angle of the open canopy in a 180 turnaround and the speed of my body witch is forward (oposite) This again generates an attack-angle of the canopy witch is front-cells downwards and they are going for the object. The brake-settings are factory default, but i got around 300 jumps on it and is usually stands still as a MF in the opening. So, if you have forward speed (in this, not much) and a 180 opening the attack-angle of the canopy will be downwards and this again will generate speed towards where you just where... About the ricer/toggles debate, don't think i would have avoided an object-strike on ricers but i am glad i had my toggels when trying to clear the cliff and finding a way down

So, once on a while some guy called Murphy comes knocking on my shoulder and wants to talk with me. I try to shake him off, but he doesn't seem to be giving up. Then, around each 100th jump i see something completly new and this time is was a lot of rock and way to close... Me and some friend went for a semi-local E, nothing spesial except it must be 9 months since my last Slider down (ah, it's called Norway people...) Did a clean 2 sec delay, and then boom and a clean 180 opening. A long story short (those of you who has been in simular situations know abot the 1000 thoughts running trough your brain, and it is not your life but a stack off solutions to the emerging problem) Enough said; enjoy but not for the fainth of heart http://onheading.com/media/base/tasting_the_rock.wmv

Nope, can't say i do and i know what you mean. Think most of the issues about gizmoz has been talked about before, and they will be again. As long as we use it as a tool and a factor for the final dessision it will be valuable. So, without tools i'm throwing papertowels from A's, watching the flags from B's, some trees/bush on S and mostly wather from the E's + listening the little devil inside... I remember me and a friend at a local cliff bringing some line to find out how tal(or)low the thingy really was. We did some fishing from the exit, tied a knot and brought the result back to our labaratory after the jump for accurate length. We thought about 80m and jumped it like it would be, the result was more like 63m. Conclusion; from now on we could do 80m stuff from 60m JB out (Shit, my spelling is smelling - i blame the keyboard... It's norwegian...)
-
This is just a polite question, but is it actually jumpers who arrive at an exitpoint and... "Hmm, a bit windy today for jumping... I'll just pull up my tool and check it... Ah, it's under my limits, c-ya" Or... "The ground looks kind of close down there... Hmm, my laser tells me it is ok, okidoki then.. c-ya" Because that feels for me like depending a tool telling me if something is doable or not. But prove me wrong or tell me othervise

Problem solved, let's have a RedBull on that
-
Dont know, but RedBull had a great website callet Re:Evolution.tv but it's gone now. There was a great 45min & 160mb .mov download from the "Baffin Island B.A.S.E. Jump Adventure" that i like to watch again now&then (I love my XboX with HD and ModChip) Question; Would it be immoral to upload it to SkyDivingMovies.com - it was online for several years, but now it's not. What do ya think, it's a RedBull Production an we all drink RedBull right...

Norwegian cliffs are way better than American ones, and red is deffenitly better than blue and... and... grapes kicks ass on both apples and oranges Way to go JT, i guess you got it going after our sweet flight from #4 i Kjerag. New thing in Norway right now is not to outtrack anything, but closetrack(tm) everything. Got some insane footage from this weekend, looks like the jumper/pilot is wearing a skateboard on the belly, the teaser is just a taste...

Have a lookie here; http://gallery.onheading.no/ and drop me a PM if you see something you like

Been there, done that Best story is about no less than tree jumpers experience that on the same antenna load Guess that is why someone came up with the smart little pin-thingy (If you look closely at the attached picture you will probably see it attached to the girrrl...) (Quick thinking clipping on to the A, makes life last longer...)

I tested the service, and in my opinion it is still in an early birth. I did a upload of the short "Lowpull" video, and it took several weeks from the upload until Google posted it for downloading. I also had a few email with them, and they told me that is the time it takes for them to "confirm/accept" a video upload. They must be sure no porn or illegal material is posted trough their servers. But i like making BASE jumping videos, and are putting up a video "Download On Demand" solution and got some ideas i would like your opinion on. Would you pay about 3.99$ for a 5 minute BASE video adventure for you to download in the quality you chose? That is you pay for the video with PayPal and then you can download a mpeg2 (DVD quality) video for you to enjoy and you also get it in .3gp (3G video phone format) and any other format you choose (You buy it, you own it...) I got some (in my opinion) watchable videos like the one from this Easter in Lau.... (hope you have downloaded it from skydivingmovies) with great views of Norwegian nature and virgin-jumped-cliffs. So the question is still; Would you pay 3.99$ for a 5 min BASEvideo in top quality downloaded to your computer (and yes, you can also get a copy with SnailMail) So think about it, i make f. esk 10 videos, you buy and download 5 of them and send me an email that you want it on a DVD with menus and pictures and stuff. I fix it and add another clip so that you get a DVD with top quality stuff for about 20$ and that without waiting for the postman to arrive How cool is that for use of the Internet fath.trancsends.reason; http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=2273 :edited for typoz
