Ok, you guys might think I'm joking about this stuff, but I'm serious. I'll say two, because it's a tie. The first, I fell off a bridge once. My friend and I were sitting around on a sumemr day, and I came up with the idea of rappelling off of the main bridge in town, into the water, then out 150 feet. Next I was supposed to be pulled back tot he undercarriage of the bridge, where I'd rope climb back up. I was 17 at the time, and so was my friend. I got half way down the side of the bridge (about 50 feet) when a knot in the rope at the top caught on one of the railings. My friend let go of the rope to free the knot, and as he did, it came loose and I plummeted down 50 feet into the river. I was pulled down the river until the rope reached it's full length. The rest is a harrowing story about how I got out of the river alive, but it's long. Let's just say, I can swim only enough to save my ass, and I proved it that day. Second, one brisk morning at the local ski hill, I decided it'd be a good idea to attempt to jump over the parking lot. I tucked in, was going waaay too fast, launched about 80 feet, did a 540, rotated onto my side and fell onto the ice and gravel from about 20 feet up. I ended up with internal bleeding, a shattered elbow, a sprained ankle(*?*) and a bunch of other stuff. Those who saw it on the ground said it was insane how fast and far I went. But obviously not far enough. THAT was stupid.
