A man and a woman are sharing an elevator down. The woman in a good mood greets the man, “hi there, did you donate your blood for $50 too?” The man looked at her and responded “no, I’m here donating sperm and got $100 for it.” The woman’s smile vanished and she left the elevator irritated. A few weeks later the same man and woman run into each other on the same elevator. The man looks at her and says “Are you donating more blood today?” She immediately looked at him, and with her mouth full and unable to talk, shakes her head no.

Ha! The golden years of my jumping days. I started jumping in 2003 in Aerohio and moved to Emerald coast Skydiving Center in 2004. Miss those days!!! Haven’t made a jump since 2009 but I still get on here once a year or so to see what’s up.

Remember when... Bonfire before Myspace/Facebook/Etc...
LilZilla replied to GogglesnTeeth's topic in The Bonfire
Long before MS/FB, this site has consumed so many hours while at work. God I miss jumping. Last jump was in 2009. -
Biggest WTF moment of my life is when I gave up skydiving 10 years ago because I wanted to spend more time with my girlfriend. Gosh damn, 10 years ago! I mean that's at least 2-5k jumps I've missed out on. FML

Didn't catch any rules about not being able to pregame. ;)

My two cats believe that regardless of it being the weekend, I am to wake up at exactly 6am to feed them. Scratches on the butt or bites on the nose are to keep me in check if I hit the kittie thinking they're snooze buttons. Christmas trees are nothing more than fun green kittie club house. And she who makes it to the star on top wins. Hard food that is mixed w/ soft food should be flung out of the kittie dish to easily access the soft food. Vacasions or deployments to the desert are bad. They prove this by pulling out all the clothes I've just packed into the bag. And lastly that once they're let outside, they're free and a game of catch me if u can must be established. Fences must be jumped in this game to help make it fun.

Thanks for the reply and advise. Before I sell off my gear I plan on doing the tandoms as requested. I'm having such a hard time mustering up the will to sell my gear. lol...

Don't like you cuz u make noise huh? lol... I can see how it would get slightly annoying but who cares. Everyone is out there to have fun n fly. Not like they always have to deal w/ the engine.

Looks like a pretty nice setup. That would be really useful in a location where it's totally flat and tows aren't much of an option. I've been looking into that route as well.

How do you like the Sport II? I'm looking up gliders now but I'm not familiar with any of the manufactures. I'm assuming Wills Wings is equivalent to PD in the skydiving world? How much would my skydiving experience shift over to HG n jumping into the Sport II? Or would that be too hi performance for starting out? I plan on taking all the neccessary classes prior to buying a glider. Just doing research now.

hahaha... Paragliding looks pretty sweet too. However it doesn't have the speed HGs have. Each have their own pros. I def wouldn't mind hittin that up if HG wasn't an option.

From what you remember of it, how did it compare to skydiving? With the new technology found in gliders today, it's amazing what you can do. I must admit, in skydiving, my greatest draw isn't the freefall but the ride down under my parachute. I'm highly considering selling off my skydiving gear n going to hang gliding.

Any hang gliding pilots in here? What do you fly?

I'm a resident of Michigan but i'm stationed in FL. I called the station that the officer is working n asked that he give me a call when convenient for him. I plan on keeping it cool n not letting my temp flare. I do however want to know why he decided to turn the ticket in after he told me he would not. Not sure about how much it would cost to fight this in court yet. But i'll find out if this officer can't/wont fix it for me.

A fun little story for those into law... About a year ago while traveling to Jacksonville on I-10 I was pulled over for going 30 over. Btw, police can still clock u while they are driving in the on coming lane across the median on an interstate. This I did not know. Anyway... the officer asked for my papers. At the time I sent my driver's license in to MI to have a motorcycle endorsement put on it. I did however have a temp license hiding somewhere. I wasn't able to produce my license to him right away. While i was digging away, he left to do his thing. He came back w/ two tickets. One for speeding n one for not having my license. While he was gone I found it n was not about to walk to him to hand it to him. At first he was refusing to take it b/c i didn't present it to him when he asked. After arguing for a few min. he decided to accept it. Now the ticket had already been written. I never signed it tho. The officer said that he would not give it to me. A year later I receive a notice in the mail telling me that i never paid my fine. I guess the dude decided to turn it in anyway. W/ out my signature on that ticket, how is it able to get to this point??? Sounds like a fraud ticket to me, is this legal? I'm planning on taking this to the legal office on base to speak to a lawyer. Just curious to get a police officers point of view. Thanks

Well I just want to thank you guys 4 all your opinions. Its always good to receive advise and even criticism from others. Like I said earlier, it’s a great way to learn. However, the bike is already bought and I have no intention of selling it. Thanks again, and have fun in the sky. I’ll see you guys up there some time. -

does anyone here really kno anything about the SV1000S or are you guys just seeing that 1000? the SV has a 90 degree v-twin engine. for those of you who have no idea what the heck that is, its two cylinders 90 degrees apart from eachother. this bike does not have an inline 4 like most sportsbikes. and because of this, the SV is not nearly as snappy. yes, it'll get up and go but the front tire wont come off the ground unless i drop the clutch in first gear. i have been assured by many who just like some of you have been riding 4 years that that bike is suitable for beginner riders. and yes i have full coverage on the bike plus compensation 4 theft. all together it's costing me about $52 a month.
