Should 9/11/01 be a national holiday?
warpedskydiver replied to rocketdog's topic in Speakers Corner
Don't worry 9/11 is probably already celebrated the same way "Ranger Day" is celebrated in Somalia -
Not true. I stand by my statement. I concur that the perp was obviously not worried about what his fathers actions would be.

The reason they don't have any is that Syria and Iran realize that they would be quicky reduced to scrap metal, and the source for those helo's would be pretty apparent, no more plausible deniability.

Duane 'Dog' Chapman Arrested by Feds

Duane 'Dog' Chapman Arrested by Feds Thursday, September 14, 2006 6:19 PM EDT The Associated Press By MARK NIESSE HONOLULU (AP) — TV reality star Duane "Dog" Chapman and two co-stars on his show were arrested Thursday in Hawaii on charges of illegal detention and conspiracy in an alleged kidnapping three years ago. Chapman, son Leland Chapman and associate Timothy Chapman were taken into custody and did not resist arrest, said Mark Hanohano, U.S. Marshal for the district of Hawaii. "It went down without incident," Hanohano said. Mona K. Wood, a publicist for the star of the popular cable series "Dog The Bounty Hunter," said Chapman would be vindicated. "He arrests the bad guys — and he is definitely not one of them," she said. The charges stem from Chapman's capture of Max Factor heir Andrew Luster on June 18, 2003, in Puerto Villarta, Mexico, said Marshals spokeswoman Nikki Credic in Washington. Chapman's capture of Luster, who had fled the country after being convicted of raping three women, catapulted the 53-year-old bounty hunter to fame and led to the reality series on A&E. The three are being held in Honolulu. Bail has not been set. They will face an extradition hearing to Mexico under terms of treaties between the U.S. and Mexico, Credic said. Chapman's son Leland, 29, and Timothy Chapman, 41, no relation, assist Chapman in exploits chronicled for the TV show around the Hawaiian Islands. The show focuses on Chapman's family as much as the bounty hunting, which generally involves tracking down bail jumpers, often creating emotional scenes with repentant captives. Charges have been pending against the three since local police in Mexico arrested them shortly after they roped in Luster. They posted bail but never returned to Puerto Villarta for their court hearing on July 15, 2003, Credic said. Mexican authorities demanded that the Chapmans transfer Luster to Mexican police. Their refusal to do so led to their initial arrest. A U.S. warrant for their arrest was signed by a federal judge in Honolulu on Wednesday. Quote I don't care mcuh for the guy personally but the FEDS are way out of line on this one and it smells of political interference. -
why should you be torn? would you feel better having to treat some kid who had his eye put out or had a pellet penetrate between the ribs and clip his aorta? or how about a nice flesh wound of the subclavian artery? Be proud you didn't just turn your head away and act like everything is fine. Does anyone think ignoring the situation would be a better Idea?

Lebanese military vehicles drive under a poster of Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, top, as... Amnesty: Hezbollah Committed War Crimes Thursday, September 14, 2006 4:43 AM EDT The Associated Press By KATIE FRETLAND LONDON (AP) — Hezbollah militants broke international law by firing thousands of rockets into Israel and killing dozens of civilians during the recent conflict with Israel, Amnesty International charged Thursday. The human rights group called for a United Nations inquiry into what it called war crimes by Israel and Hezbollah, but its report focused on the actions of the Lebanese militants during the 34-day conflict. Hezbollah launched nearly 4,000 rockets into northern Israel in July and August, killing at least 39 civilians. The firing of rockets into urban areas in northern Israel disregarded international laws that call for distinguishing between civilian and military targets, Amnesty said. "Targeting civilians is a war crime. There's no gray area," said Larry Cox, Amnesty's executive director in the United States. Although Hezbollah denies targeting Israeli civilians, it fired inaccurate rockets packed with thousands of metal ball bearings to maximize harm to noncombatants, Amnesty said. Hezbollah had no immediate comment Thursday on the Amnesty report. The report is Amnesty's most extensive condemnation of Hezbollah since the conflict began in July. It comes after Amnesty accused Israel of violating international law with indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks on civilian targets in Lebanon. The human rights group also previously called on Hezbollah to release two kidnapped Israeli soldiers and abstain from targeting civilians. Violence erupted between Israel and Lebanon after Hezbollah militants kidnapped two Israeli soldiers in a cross-border raid on July 12. The ensuing fighting left more than 1,000 people dead, mostly Lebanese civilians, UNICEF said. A U.N.-brokered cease-fire in August quelled the violence and Israel and Hezbollah have mostly complied with the order, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said this week. Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev said he had no doubt that the Islamic militia fired rockets in a premeditated way to kill a maximum number of civilians. "It is also important to remember that the leaders of Hezbollah have spoken on many occasions about their desire to destroy the state of Israel," Regev said. Amnesty plans to publish additional reports studying whether Hezbollah contributed to civilian deaths in Lebanon by purposely hiding among civilians, said Nicole Choueiry, a spokesman for Amnesty in Britain. Israel and Lebanon reject the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands making any prosecution there unlikely.

Quote I would rather take my chances while armed thanks for your concern that we can't defend ourselves in the US, People in canada are far safer obviously. You should pass a few more laws or at least remind your reporters to keep blaming the US for your own violence. I heard a canadian reporter say "well of course he could have just gone to the US and traded drugs for any gun he wanted".CNN Wow just anywhere here in the US? he would also have been a criminal at that point. -
Art. 47. Mercenaries 1. A mercenary shall not have the right to be a combatant or a prisoner of war. 2. A mercenary is any person who: (a) is specially recruited locally or abroad in order to fight in an armed conflict; (b) does, in fact, take a direct part in the hostilities; (c) is motivated to take part in the hostilities essentially by the desire for private gain and, in fact, is promised, by or on behalf of a Party to the conflict, material compensation substantially in excess of that promised or paid to combatants of similar ranks and functions in the armed forces of that Party; (d) is neither a national of a Party to the conflict nor a resident of territory controlled by a Party to the conflict; (e) is not a member of the armed forces of a Party to the conflict; and (f) has not been sent by a State which is not a Party to the conflict on official duty as a member of its armed forces. First I call bullshit that anyone that does not wear a uniform of a recognized army and is also not a mercenary, should be treated that same as a legal combatant. I would also like to point out why shooting at mercenaries, regardless of who sent them, might be a very bad fucking idea. They do not care if they kill you, because they are already fucked, and don't have much to lose as they know what happens when they don't prevail. Thats why there is more pay. Remember Executive Outcomes?

Should 9/11/01 be a national holiday?
warpedskydiver replied to rocketdog's topic in Speakers Corner
how many days of mourning do we need? And why does this day get elevated over Dec 7th? I don't think it should be a holiday at all, my earlier point is not that people should not do whatever they feel on those days but there is a large portion of our population that can't even tell you what that day means. -

Exactly, I am quite dissapointed that most people can't fathom the ideas of Memorial Day and Veterans Day, to them it is a day off, a sale, or a reason to get drunk and watch races. -
Has anyone here fired a Sig Mosquito or P22?

The Walther is nice, and the Sig I have never fired but I do own a P226 and it is one fine pistol. -
Part of the crap we are dealing with today is because of his policies stemming back to the 80's and the Muja's.. and Afghanistan and their secret little war that lead Osama into believeing it was THEM who had actually won the Cold War. I find nothing you say untrue and actually never thought of you in that list. Yes mistakes were made that cost us dearly now. Mistakes are always made, it is what is done to correct them is what counts, or at least the ablilty to not repeat the mistakes, no matter what the polls say. I for one wish that we never helped the Muj's in the first place and that more was done in the middle east about terrorism, and Islamist extremeism.

Al-Zawahri: Gulf, Israel Next Targets
warpedskydiver replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
Al-Zawahri: Gulf, Israel Next Targets Monday, September 11, 2006 10:46 AM EDT The Associated Press By LEE KEATH Listen to Audio CAIRO, Egypt (AP) — Osama bin Laden's deputy warned that Persian Gulf countries and Israel would be al-Qaida's next targets, according to a new videotape aired by Arab broadcaster Al-Jazeera on Monday, the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Ayman al-Zawahri accused the governments of Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia of supporting Israel's war against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Addressing the West, the al-Qaida No. 2 said: "You should not waste your time in reinforcing your troops in Iraq and Afghanistan because they are doomed to defeat and are already all but defeated." "Instead, you have to reinforce your troops in two regions. First is the Gulf, where you will be thrown out after you are defeated in Iraq, at which point your economic ruin will be achieved," he said. "The second is Israel, because the jihad reinforcements are getting closer to it." He also condemned the U.N. peacekeeping force now deploying in Lebanon under terms set out in a cease-fire resolution. "What is so terrible in this resolution ... is that it approves the existence of the Jewish state and isolates our mujahedeen in Palestine from Muslims in Lebanon," he said in excerpts of the video aired on Al-Jazeera television. "This is consecrated by the presence of international troops who are hostile to Islam," he said. "Anyone who accepts this resolution means that he accepts all these catastrophes." In other portions of the tape aired by CNN earlier Monday, al-Zawahri urged Muslims to intensify their opposition to the United States and warned in general terms of new terror strikes. "We have repeatedly warned you and offered a truce with you," al-Zawahri said, addressing Americans. "Now we have all the legal and rational justification to continue to fight you until your power is destroyed or you give in and surrender." The video was not on any of the militant Web sites that usually carry messages and videos from al-Zawahri and other al-Qaida figures. As-Sahab, the terror network's media arm, had posted notices late Sunday that the video would be available. It was the latest in a flurry of al-Qaida videos released ahead of the anniversary. But unlike the others, it appeared to be new with references to Israel's bombardment of Lebanon this summer and the capture of Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah and Palestinian militants in Gaza. The video shows the Egyptian-born al-Zawahri dressed in white and seated in front of a wall of bookshelves as he is interviewed by an unseen person. The full video is an hour and 16 minutes, the stations said. "Your leaders are hiding from you the true extent of the disaster," he said. "And the days are pregnant and giving birth to new events, with Allah's permission and guidance." Al-Zawahri criticized the West for supplying Israel with weapons, and he called on the Islamic world "to rush with everything at its disposal to the aid of its Muslim brothers in Lebanon and Gaza." Late Sunday, another video posted on the Internet, purportedly by al-Qaida, showed previously unseen footage of a smiling bin Laden and other commanders in a mountain camp apparently planning the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States. That tape's documentary-like retrospective of the five years since the attacks was unusually long — 91 minutes, split into two segments — and sophisticated in its production quality, compared with previous al-Qaida videos. The footage — with English subtitles — surfaced on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the attacks, on a Web site that frequently airs messages from bin Laden's terror network. "Planning for Sept. 11 did not take place behind computer monitors or radar screens, nor inside military command and control centers, but was surrounded with divine protection in an atmosphere brimming with brotherliness ... and love for sacrificing life," an unidentified narrator said. The video released Sunday, stamped with the emblem of As-Sahab, al-Qaida's media branch, was titled "Knowledge is For Acting Upon: The Manhattan Raid." It showed the al-Qaida leader meeting with colleagues in a mountain camp believed to be in Afghanistan, as well as video clips of Vice President Dick Cheney defending his old job at the oil company Halliburton, and President Bush at his inauguration. Other scenes show training at the camp, with masked militants doing martial arts kicks and practicing hiding and pulling out knives. It included the last testament of two of the Sept. 11 hijackers, Wail al-Shehri and Hamza al-Ghamdi, and showed bin Laden strolling in the camp, greeting followers. "Among the devout group which responded to the order of Allah and order of his messenger were the heroes of Sept. 11, who wrote with the ink of their blood the greatest pages of modern history," the narrator said, referring to the hijackers who flew planes into the Pentagon and World Trade Center. Al-Shehri and al-Ghamdi were each shown speaking to the camera, their image superimposed over background pictures of the crumbling World Trade Center towers and the burning Pentagon, as well as a model of a passenger jet. They both spoke of how Muslims must stand up to fight back against the West. "If we are content with being humiliated and inclined to comfort, the tooth of the enemy will stretch from Jerusalem to Mecca, and then everyone will regret on a day when regret is of no use," al-Ghamdi said. The two videotaped final statements had never been seen before. Al-Shehri was on American Flight 11, which was the first to hit the World Trade Center. Al-Ghamdi was on United Flight 175, which hit the second tower. In the footage, bin Laden wore a dark robe and white headdress, and was shown sitting alongside his former lieutenant Mohammed Atef and Ramzi Binalshibh, another suspected planner of the Sept. 11 attacks. Atef, also known as Abu Hafs al-Masri, was killed by a U.S. airstrike on Afghanistan in 2001. Binalshibh was captured four years ago in Pakistan and is currently in U.S. custody, and last week Bush announced plans to put him on military trial. Bin Laden was shown expressing his appreciation for the Taliban, the Islamic regime that ran Afghanistan and gave refuge to al-Qaida until the U.S.-led invasion toppled them in late 2001. The video showed events up to 10 years before the Sept. 11 attacks — U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia during the 1991 Gulf War and bin Laden preaching to followers after the 1998 attacks on U.S. embassies in Kenya and Sudan. It also showed events afterward including a man in an orange jumpsuit at the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. It was unclear when the tape was made, or how soon before the Sept. 11 attacks the footage of bin Laden was recorded. Quote IMHO I think that Al-Zawahiri is a moron, and thinks we all believe AQ has not been targeting all his "NEW" targets for quite some time. I think it would be really nice if King Abdullah got his hands on him, in PUBLIC. in fact I bet the King wouldn't mind slotting him for all to see. -
Which ones??? I didn't state which ones but I think there were a few, Reagan was so hated back then, and now the two faced people of this country would like us to believe they all liked him and respected him. I say bullshit, people were screaming he was senile and was going to end all life as we know it. Celebrities went way out of their way to tell us all how the President was a stupid actor and was so senile that he would just wake up after a nightmare and push the "button" as if there were a single button Anyone remember all the music videos and rhetoric? I do

Are you serious? I wonder if you have ever seen livestock killed with one shot from a .22cal? I saw a steer shot with a 30-30 win and it looked kind of annoyed(headshot) then a 22 was used and it went down like a ton of bricks. .22cal was the choice or Pro's, and the choice of the Moussad. In fact the Mossad used .22cal with some of the powder removed(subsonic) for contact shots.
