Agreed, we already know he is against the rest of us exercising our constitutional rights, so why vote for him? That is just plain crazy -

Supreme Court Gun Ban Ruling Expected Tomorrow - June 26, 2008
warpedskydiver replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Agreed, but I think you knew what I meant. Unreasonable Licensing restrictions (celebs, politicians) and or other means of discrimination. There is nothing reasonable about restricting the rights of someone who has not run afoul of the law, and or lost his RKBA due to mental illness, or other reason. -

I think LULA needs a workout today Now if only .308win and 5.56NATO would come down to around $150/1k -
Sanctions are like a beating with a Nerf bat. Does it make them notice we do not like what they are doing? YES. Does it make them stop knowing that a real baseball bat is ready for use? Damn right. It is the implication that things may take a far worse turn that does the coercing.

Licensing and or restrictions on exercising your Constitutional rights seems to fall flat on it's face. I look forward to see Mayor Daley dragged off in chains. My close friend is running for Cook County Sheriff. He has the moral character that it would take to enforce the law, and nobody would be above that. He would drag the mayor out in handcuffs, for violating the constitutional rights of anyone, -

Now if someone would only bring the FISA changes to them so we could protect our 4th Amendment rights as well. I guess personal privacy isn't as important eh I too look forward to SCOTUS protecting our 4th Amendment rights, as I do all others. -

Really! A firm decision pro 2nd would be a great day, IMO. Yeah it would. Of course, a broken record never plays a different tune. -
Happy Birthday Karen!

Military members..MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!
warpedskydiver replied to floridadiver81's topic in Speakers Corner
I'm sorry, I've read all of your responses since making this statement and I strongly disagree with you on every point with the exception of the noted delta between civilian and military compensation for doing the same job. Some people stay in for reasons that are not motivated by pay. I don't know which military you are in, but in MY Army, the average soldier embraces the suck more often than not and is IMO entitled to a lot more than we currently receive during and after our service. Officers have the opportunity to do degree completion and attend higher learning during their career progression that enlisted personnel are not entitled to. I know officers who have spent more time in class rooms than doing their job or in the field where they supposedly lead from the front. I don't care if they're a 93Y or a 11B, todays enlisted soldiers deserve a lot more than they currently get. Let us not forget who comprises the backbone of the Military and who wise officers more often than not listen to. I concur, they deserve it. Opportunity in education should not be decided on ones pay grade. I am now being reinstated for the educational benefits that were stripped away from me in the mid 90's due to cutbacks. My own counselor stated that if those like me did not deserve the benefits, then who does? (meaning service-connected disabled veterans) Not whining, I consider myself one of the lucky ones. -
Congress pisses all over the 4th Amendment
warpedskydiver replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in Speakers Corner
You know that people were arrested that were not part of the protest? People who were downtown shopping and just walking by and happened to be on that block, including people who live in that area. My ex's friend was trying to leave because the protest wasn't going according to what he believed. There was no warning from the cops and he, along with bystanders that were trying to leave the area, were stopped by CPD and told to wait. I know Daley quite well and I haven't voted for him in years. That hardly surprises me. You should hear the stories related to me by some Tactical Officers in the CPD. The look on their faces speaks volumes. They are expected to toss the Constitution aside, that does not please them at all. -

Congress pisses all over the 4th Amendment
warpedskydiver replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in Speakers Corner
You are kidding me, right? Under the guise of the Patriot Act plenty of rights have been violated. During an organized and approved war protest, Chicago Police arrested large crowds of the peaceful protesters. One was my ex's friend and we were unable to locate him nor was his lawyer. He was being held as a domestic terrorist and denied access to his lawyer under the Patriot Act. They eventually let him go without any notice or paperwork completed. All that was done, was in accordance with the orders of Mayor Daley, and his Chief Of Police. Daley is an extremely liberal Democrat, he has also torn up Meigs Field, against a Federal Court Order, and Violates the rights of every Chicagoan, as well as many of those who reside in Cook County. -

Anyone happen to know who wore it in the book Skies Call? I was just looking at it, it's going to be returned to the original owners heirs. -
The parts necessary to convert a gasoline powered vehicle to LPG powered/Dual fuel is $160 in parts if the car is carbuerated Most of the parts can be scavenged off of old RV's from the 1970's for a cheaper alternative Of course for FI cars, the cost is significantly higher due to the electronics involved

QuoteDo you consider yourself a good person? I consider myself OK, others may think more of me than that. Do you regret your decisions in life? I may or may not recall anything that I may or may not have done, if in fact it happened at all...Senator What would you consider your moral Fiber is worth? What is the going rate for human remains these days?
