  1. One way to do it is just go up to the bar and buy a case through the bar. Then yell out this case is on me. You can include a few first in a case, I usally yell out why especially if I screwed something up and it's funny. If someone is not there to share or misses out after it's all gone,,,,, oh well not your problem. johnnyboy

  6. I wanted a canopy that I could start out on slow approches and then progress into faster. After some research I opted for the Nitro. And it is a great canopy. The construction is the best. It flys great, perfect for my exp level 320 jumps at WL 1.38. I love this canopy it will be with me for years before I need to down size. For anyone who is ready to go eliptical go Nitro. Opening are great on heading and slow and soft. Turning is great front or toggle. rear riser is very fast and light. landings are great: on straight in with no input just give very little toggle to plan out and ride it until flare which it will have plenty of flare at the end. Packing is a breeze. Flys very well slow in the brakes, I can hold and sink if I want no problem. Well I only have about 9 jumps on it so far but I would recommend this canopy for anyone ready try an eliptical canopy - it will let go through all of the stages starting out and taking as far as you want.
  7. I used to jump a falcon back in the 90s. It was a falcon 215 loaded at 1.02:1 and I never had hard opening they were quick but noe hard. I always stack packed it and most of the time in a big hurry and ended up be trash packed. You can try pockets but give a few jumps if it does not settle down maybe consider sending it back to PA for testing. I would think a 300 open nice.Quote johnnyboy
  8. How many of you have had a father who was one of the forefathers of our sport. I know there is the thackers at Raeford, Chuck Blue's dad is one and I know Frank Norberry Jr's the late Frank Sr was one. Tell your stories about the early years and what it was like to grow up with legends that we owe everything to in our sport too. John Dandeneau johnnyboy
  9. My point was that you are selling to fellow skydivers, some new to the sport. For m selling to brother or future brother should be a good deal not how much money can I rip you for. johnnyboy
  10. As I look through the used gear section it amazes me how many people are trying to sell used gear for what it cost new or sometimes more. Come on if you want to sell it check arround and find out how much dealers sell it for new, get a clue. Does it bother anyone else? johnnyboy
