Are you serious?! they do 45 jumps a day?! or did you miss state that!? I am confused. thats about 90 jumps a weekend give or take, and almost 400 a month more if you figure they are doing jumps on the week to. didn't mean to hijack the thread, but I am really interested. BEER!!!!!!!! As far as the difference between a tandem and getting certified. I can compare it to the difference in driving and watching a car. You are in control, you can do flips, fly your body, do 4 way, freefly, fly yyour canopy. Its amazing you can in my humble opinion do much cooler stuff, it opens up are whole new world. I have found atleast in my office that the people that talk to me about it will ask questions and think that it is crazy, but we (me and the people that think its crazy) have a fun little exchange like, be careful, or don't do something stupid, and I say i'll try, then they ask me if I am jumping and I invairiably say yes and then they say so maybe not so safe. But I think its fun to look at their faces when I tell them that I am going to jump this weekend. Its a great convo starter, you are gonna have to deal with the super conservative people who don't get it or think its a silly risk. Anyway I would say keep the pictures take the highroad, and at somepoint you have to just deal. After a while when they see the joy that it brings you they will come around and see it for what you see it. Yeah...You need to grow up. -Skymama -

People just think you are crazy and an adrenaline junky. Then there are people that want to know everything you know, and it takes a while. I don't know a whole lot, but I would say the more time in the tunnel the better. I haven't been in the tunnel yet but am looking forward to it. Also as far as the fear thing goes all I can do is tell you what someone once told me when they realized I was pretty nervous on the ride up. They said everyone has a different time dealing with it. For some people it takes 25 jumps for others it takes 100's its just a matter of time and how you deal with it. I still get a little excited when I pull on to Del Ray (the road the DZ is on) but its nolonger so much fear as excitement. Keep with it. Yeah...You need to grow up. -Skymama

Verizon, I rep Verizon real hard. Side note they are currently putting a class action law suit up against Sprint for false advertising. I don't know who they is but I got a post card about it. As for verizon they hardly ever if ever drop calls and If you get it you will be able to talk to other verizon customers for free. Its the way to go. I talked my whole family into getting it. That is a totally legitimate stance, but as far as convience, this thing in my mind is head and shoulders above the Ipod. the catch is that once you have it on the xm reciever you can't take it off. and put it on the Computer. So its not like you can make CD's out of them. The whole service kicks ass. Yeah...You need to grow up. -Skymama

Nnnnoooooo! We want $$ on our accounts! That is the bestest present. Especially since 30 jumps X $5 pack job = 150 and I havent even paid to jump yet. Oh well its only munny! and realistically I'm hoping for 3 loads/hr average. 15 min turn around per load, 20 with fueling. Fuel every 4th load (Im guessing) = 65 min. or mathmatically 3.7 jumps per hour. but when have you ever been able to have .7 jumps. That all depends on what you consider a seventh of a jump i know i have made some that should be considered a fraction of a jump. sheesh. Yeah...You need to grow up. -Skymama -

Yesterday afternoon my SO and I went ot Best Buy and she picked up the newest in satelite radio technology. The Pioneer INNO. Its a satelite radio/mp3 player/terestrial radio. Its really cool, the only problem is now I want one. I would say that it is one of the cooler gizmos i have seen in a long time. You can record songs off of XM radio, or download them onto your INNO off your PC. You can set it to record the news while you are asleep so when you are walking to work or can't get a signal or whatever it will still play the news or songs or what ever. It rocks. Just thought I would share. Yeah...You need to grow up. -Skymama
