Amazing story! Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

sorry wonder if there any incidents directly attributed to thread drift? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

But all other factors aren't constant. Kallend, who I understand is a physics prof, in this thread http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1668217;search_string=density%20altitude;#1668217 says that your speed increases about 2% for every extra 1000' of altitude. Velvet Underground and Nico is a brilliant album. I like their other stuff too, but that one is seminal. I really like Reed's Berlin too, though it gets a bit depressing at times Happy birthday to one of the greats! Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

It was something I always wanted to do along with all the other once-off adrenalin stuff (like my er one and only skydive) now that i'm into skydiving i've lost interest, because i don't like the passivity of it (you jump and then... fall and then dangle around waiting?). still keen on doing stuff like rapp jumping though

Everyone is just being nasty cos John Elliot caught us all out, we're all a bunch of backward retards who couldn't get further than sixth grade! We must therefore all be dealing in drugs as there is no other way we could afford the sport. (Movie plotline, anyone?) Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

I wasn't really gonna jump in but.... how many "different places" have you jumped with your 2 jumps? with those degrees in business and finance and experience and evidently more brains than the rest of us, why haven't you done well enough to have saved enough that the cost of the sport isn't such a major issue? A (probably large) number of people here are members of non-profit clubs and are aware of the accounts. In my VERY LIMITED experience the non-profit clubs may have to charge more because they don't run tandem mills that help pay the bills. So, a pilot, those degrees and now you're studying medicine? The drugs post did make me wonder if this isn't a troll Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

Got their name from http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/movie.html?v_id=83489 Are we meant to continue this thread on the cannibals theme, or on the lawyer-bashing-joke theme? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

Frontier Sky Divers MOST Expensive place to train
Orange1 replied to JohnElliott's topic in Events & Places to Jump
You have 2 jumps (according to your profile). Linked to your profile is a review of a Polish club where you say it is the "best" DZ you ever jumped at but you also complain it is "expensive". (Like Frontier?) With respect, maybe a bit more time in the sport will give you the basis to make especially relative statements about different DZs? Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun. -

Princess Bride - I've only seen the movie once. But it's not a patch on the book, which I've probably read about 10 times over the years! Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.

I don't believe people can talk about "favourite" movies unless they have watched them at least 10 times When I thought about this, I was quite surprised at how long my list is. Certainly not all the DVDs and videos in my collection, but still a lot. Starting with my 5 favourites: True Romance – out and out all time #1 favourite. Love story with happy ending, lots of violence and good lines along the way Pulp Fiction. Lots of violence and good lines along the way and um an ending somewhere in the middle. Some brilliant scenes, but True Romance trumps it because I like happy endings Wild at Heart. Er, love story with happy ending, lots of violence and good lines along the way, plus Nicolas Cage in that snakeskin jacket. Trainspotting. One of the rare occasions where I’ve enjoyed the movie as much as the book. “Choose life…” Strictly Ballroom. Love story with a happy ending and wacky Australian humour along the way. No violence. “A life lived in fear is a life half-lived.” Others: Natural Born Killers. Love story with happy ending (at least for Mickey and Mallory), lots of violence and good lines along the way. Some amazing scenes. Um, Grease. Love story with happy ending. (OK, I’m a girl.) Watched this for the first time when I was about 8 or 9 and have seen it countless times since then – even caved in and bought the DVD. Hair. First saw in my teens and just loved it, probably the movie I’ve watched the most in my life. “I got life, mother…” Rocky Horror Picture Show. In a class of its own. I’ve never attended one of “those” screenings, but am probably word-perfect on the script. 12 Monkeys. I’m not generally a sci-fi fan but I absolutely loved this movie. Edited to add (reminded from below) Life of Brian - how could I have forgotten this?! I'm probably word-perfect in the script for this one too. A bunch of Disneys (thanks to my daughter) Skydiving: wasting fossil fuels just for fun.
