Fair point about the number of deaths and the amount spent, but it is about what the public care0 ahh i see the fear point. the public rather have more money spent on terrorism casue they fear it so the govt does it to be popular. people are complacent to the dangers of smoknig compared to terrorism so put less emphaisis on it, so the govt, as it won't affect the popularity with the people, can afford to only spend a bit. Didn't the Pope however also proclaim religous tolerance marking acceptance of other faiths to?? I certainly disagree about Islam being the most modern - the treatment of women is aboslutely atrocious - having to cover themselves up?? that is ridiculous. Agreed about the president of Iran and how little choice the citizens have. Bit like the president of syria and his involvment in the assination of the former PM (i forget the country, Lebanon maybe?) my oppinion of Islam isnt a go at you at all, but the Israelis - i support them and their actions against the Palestians, although i do sypmathise with their cause. I guess they are AS BAD AS EACH OTHER AT TIMES. suicide bombers - fucking out of order. Military incursion every other minute - sometimes unfair.

Come to think of it, I get the impression that the german culture is similar to that of the english? The reason for that is that at oru college, there are alwyas 5-8 german students who come for a year to study english (and do very well to) and they seem to fit in straight away and hold similar general beliefs, and other reasons which are hard to expalni but generqally give the idea of similarity. . Is that a fair statement? (one of them has even done a tandem to!!!!)

i agree, good question!!! But, Iran poses more of a threat to us in our eyes, the same as america's "fundamentalism" would to them. Fair? (what about a double headed coin?? that would give some interesting answers!!!) Cheers, Mike

Agreed some of the population don't agree with him, but I would bet that a fair majority are so fundamentalist that they wouldn't mind it happening. iran is one of the msot fudnamentaliust Islamic countries, wouldn't you agree?
