  1. Yep its only got 7 jumps on it!!!
  2. Hi all, Just wondering, since ive bought a PD 7 cell 170 , i checked the Pd website but the site info regarding this canopy is now taken off. Is that becuase they are not manufactured anymore? if so would the reason be lack of demand? thanks Mike
  3. just read the blog for that... incredible hell he should get the highest award for that!
  4. I would turn it on and off accordingly. I can certainly see the benefits of it and to be fair believe ive got in good proportion- for RW or freeflying where the chance of losing awareness/knocked out is far greater than a solo, its sensible to have one. For a solo where there is nothing to do but look at your alti then its not necessary.
  5. I agree. Ive hit 51 jumps or so now... and doing the final paperwork for the B licence. Then i cna choose to jump without an AAD thankgod. Then it goes straight off unless im donig freeflyin gor RW. Only for the risk of being knocked out. I might fuckup on a solo and lose awareness although i rely on myself to save my ass not some bit of bloody equipoment. Sorry to those who say one shoudl always jump with an AAD- that doesnt work. Although a newbie im experienced enough to realise that attidude is dangerous -being device dependant prevent sone from taking control. so what happens when a situation where an AAd won;t save you occurs... if one can't cope well they are fucked. However the attitude of always relying on yourself would heolp . Hope that clear
  6. you should put him in the ationals!
  7. damn... will try and get there for first then. hopfully tony and andy and billy will be there to
  8. Done around 15 jumps on one of these, including all AFF levels. Found it to be very forgiving of an uneven and early flare and determined to stand me on my feet on touchdown. Very easy to control, makes one feel very safe - no radical turn movements and is a very useful canopy to learnon. Thats probably why our DZ owns ten of them!!!! Cons - None
  9. im going to try to be there for the last weekend... wanna jump that skyvan!!!!
  10. fucking good video. nice weather in states to

  15. lol have to admit your exit looked pretty darn good... although i was quite lucky on the two way roger - first time i fell so fast i got the pleasure of watching him doing headdown. sidways headown type thingy adn sit - fucking impressive!!!! lol i think i need to add two helium balloons to me lol. nice seeing you too buddy
  16. Best DZ in the UK - a bit of a silly question aint i t- it all depends on what the person wants - if someone prefers to do one or two a day at a smaller close kint rather than 10 at a huge commercial centre... then that to him would be better and vice versa. Personally ive only ever jumped at UK parachuting... and it ha sbeen very good - is it better than the rest i dunno cos ive never jumped anywhere else yet. However I was v impressed with langar;s customer service and getting there for the boogie 2 i think. Ir ang them once and they know what customer service is about even though im not doing expsneive training there.
  17. Something has struck and has rather incensed me- while browsing some skydiving websites they claim it to be safe as anything and that if someone dies its thewir fault - agreed pilot error is a huge cause of accidents. Furthermore, eveyr DZ needs to attract customers and by appearing safe is a good way of doing so - no problem at all since many remind the customer that it is potentially dangerous. But the big problem for me is that some say it is safe... which implies that all those who have died have been silly and made a mistake - something we are all capable of doing. IMHO that is disrespectful when they blast it as safe as houses, since by saying it si risky, not only are you being fair to the customer.. btu achknowledging that mistakes were made in demanding circumstances. Maybe its just me... i dunno.
