Was that the Richard Dawkins programme? I like RD's writing and i pretty much agree with him, but i think he did himself a disservice because he was a little too anti, especially with some of the "moderates" who were trying to be a bit more balanced than the Christians who were condoning murder and making 12 year old kids watch sensationalist plays about abortion, homosexuality and the like. Having said that, anyone who is blind enough to think that evolution cannot produce complex organs and organisms should read his book "The Blind Watchmaker" for a very clear, well thought out and scientific explanation. I can vouch for robs ability - his helmets are EXTREMELY light and comfortable. (rob - i can point u in the direction of someone who could give you some good ideas on this - hopefully see you tuesday!) Never try to eat more than you can lift

i think i am weird - i am starting to quite like it, it has a zen like thing going on - i evern pack for some of my friends as well! Only exceptions are if i need to debrief and rebrief and haven't really got time, or occasionally boogies. Never try to eat more than you can lift

Yeah - you just get used to stuff. Wait till you have a mal or try something a bit scary light a night jump or whatever. Those adrenaline charged feelings come back extremely fast!!! Never try to eat more than you can lift -
The long way round is fantastic. I bought it for my dad last year and had to watch it before i gave it to him. Some of the footage from the road of bones is awesome!! Never try to eat more than you can lift

Question - when i watch videos of BASE from the ITW, kjerag and places like that, it appears that openings (for obvious reasons) are still extremely fast - the kind that skydivers would start saying its a bad canopy or whatever. Are they actually that hard? is there some property of the canopy that makes them not as bad as they look? Do you just get used to them and expect them? or are you guys just double hard barstewards??!! Never try to eat more than you can lift

Thanks Bob - does anyone on that team post here? I met them in Perris and they were a cool bunch (Actually some of them were on my AFF1 load back in 2000 which is why i recognised them!) Never try to eat more than you can lift
