Preston was my friend, teacher and mentor. He took this 40 something yr old lady that was having trouble with AFF and taught me how to fly! Through the s/l program he jumped with me for 20 jumps and never charged me a dime! He believed that experienced jumpers should pass their knowledge to others for the price of a lift ticket. I only tapped a very small portion of his knowledge of the sport but it was everything I needed to get my A license. I was lucky enough to have Preston in the air with me and Norm Johnson on the ground to guide me in. I couldn’t lose. I was the last person Preston jumped with and I know he will be with me on every jump I make in the future. He will laugh when I do well and say, “ What was THAT?” when I screw up. Preston was a man of God and I know he is heaven. Where the fishing is good everyday, there are plenty of deer and turkey to hunt. With blue skies, gentle breeze and a field of flowers to land in. I now have a guardian angle (Preston would get a laugh about being called an angle). I just wish I could give him one more hug. LOVE Nan
