  1. Welcome to the sport. are you taking aff or a different route? i am a professional firefighter in orlando, fl and i can say that its a totally different rush. i find it to be a good release from the stress of the job. i am relatively new also but it doesnt take long to get hooked and realize that its the best thing ive ever done, besides being a firefighter. i have 3 kids myself and they enjoy it when i bring the family out to hang with me. its a great time and youll meet alot of new people and find that most of them are the coolest people youll ever meet. have fun. blue skies _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________

Looking forward to going over there soon. _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________

  5. well, i did it!! graduated aff today at Deland. i had to repeat level VI due to a not so great dive exit, and i'm glad i did cause i nailed it the second time, but my instructors were great and i will remember the awesome instruction and the great fun. i look forward to many years of jumping and meeting others in the skydiving community. i was also present for Krystal's memorial and ash dive . it was a spectacular showing of the camaraderie in the sport. Thank you Nikki, Christine, Nat, and Scott for teaching me the sport that i will be involved in for many years to come!!! _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________

  8. Well, I start my AFF course in Deland tomorrow, and i just wanted to say that this site rocks and thank you to everyone that posts here. I have read alot of the posts and found some very helpful info on some questions i had and things to help with my first level and throughout the rest of my skydiving ventures. I made a tandem just last month for my birthday and have been hooked ever since (the girlfriend says im obsessed!) lol. I couldn't wait to start AFF and look forward to many years of jumping, fun, and getting to know the sport and the people in it.
