Does anyone know who makes the new helmet that is on the market with the side and top mount twist lock boxes? I saw them at Deland in the Cypress tent, but i cant remember who it was made by. If it helps, the helmet had a twist lock side mount camera box and a lock on the top for a mount also. Thanks.... _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________

Very nice show. Liked the two segments. I think that it gave a good prospective on our sport and would like to see more on national tv shows. _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________ -

I am having a hard time finding a water training class. I have been on several contact and sign-up lists for the better part of a year. I keep inquiring about them but none have a definite answer as to when. Just wondering if anyone knows of a regular scheduled training class being held at dropzones in the central florida area. ie..zhills, titusvlle, etc. Thanks

Saving my First Jump DVD - HELP!!!

i have used AOA DVD ripper in the past and it works pretty good. it will let you copy a 10 minute movie using the free evaluation. i have used it to copy my first tandem and a couple fun jumps before so i can break them down and reedit them. http://www.aoamedia.com/dvd_ripper.htm _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________ -

I am trying to decide which camera to buy and have kind of narrowed it down to the these 2. I can get the HC40 for about $200 used and the HC32 $300 new. I was looking for some input or opinions on the two if anyone has or is using either one. It will be my first camera, i figured the two of them will be the least expensive and a good place to start. I have been jumping a Sabre2 190 for about 70 jumps now. i really don't have much to compare it with other than a spectre and a student canopy, but i love the flight and the responsiveness is awesome. i have it loaded at 1.2:1, and i can make it do what i want so far. the openings are awesome, 95% have been soft and on heading. the only ones that weren't were due to fast packing and trying to make a quick call. so those were my fault. even the slammers weren't all that bad. the only thing with the sabre2, as discussed in the gear review section, is the consistent end cell closures, which is not a big deal at all..a tug on the rears and all is well. IMHO the sabre2 is an excellent canopy and being semi-elliptical it'll perform very nicely with the right input. _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________

Thank you for the sugestion. after doing the search and looking at the website you gave, i found a program called DVDsanta. It will convert any video file (avi, wmv, divx...etc) to dvd format. Then all you need is a program like. DVDcopy or other to burn it. Since i already use DVDcopy (for other reasons, lol) it was a great find. Just thought id thank you and post the find so if anyone else needed to know about it they could look for DVDsanta 4.0 _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________

Just a quick question from a newbie. I'm definitely not flying a camera yet, just taking some home movies and some of my skydiving movies shot by other people and making a movie. Figured I could ask this question now and play around with some software so when I do start flying a camera I'll be ready to make awesome movies. Can someone tell me how i can take a movie created on windows movie maker and burn to dvd format to play on a home dvd player? thanks

i sorta had the same problem with my right arm. my instructor told me to relax a bit more and bend my arms at the elbows and bring my hands in a little just enough to see them. it helped alot and stopped my spin. try it out or ask your instructor about that arm position. i tried it in the tunnel before i did it in freefall and it helped. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________

All i can say is, dont let a bad landing change your mind if its something you enjoy doing. Like Skymama said, you probably just had some bad luck. My first landing didnt go to well either, i twisted my ankle and it hurt like hell when i made my second jump that day. If skydiving is something you really enjoy so far, im sure you were hooked on your first jump like the rest of us, let the ankle heal and get back up and jump as soon as you can. Dont sit around and wait and think about it, and think yourself out of it cause youll regret not doing it if you do. Just my 2 cents. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ _______________The only thing in life that doesnt take effort is failure________________
