  2. I don't want to get started on Jane so I will just say she shouldn't have been let back in the US!!!! Idiocy = Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
  3. The first person that thanked me for serving was a young man working at a car dealership parts counter. When he had noticed my viet nam vet hat he said " thank you.". I didn't know what he was talking about then he pointed to my hat and said " my dad served in viet nam and said I should thank anyone I see who served or had served for protecting my freedom." I got kinda teary eyed. The first person to say thank you was the son of a nam vet not just the average person. But it made me feel good to see that this young man really knew what the price of freedom was all about and he was thankful for it. 4. It's not hard to figure men out, just ask them they will tell you what you need to know. Unlike women, ask them and they say " if you have to ask then just forget about it. ". And us men pretty much forget about it. Idiocy = Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
  5. If a man and wife from Arkansas get divorced, are will they still be brother and sister? Idiocy = Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
  6. Man, you need to do some work on the muscles in that area. I'm 50 years old and can still do that. Idiocy = Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

  9. I know all too well what it's like to be married to someone who doesn't want you to jump. I first started jumping in 1972 while in the service ( sport jumping ). I made 67 jumps in the service and one after getting married after I got out. Soon after that my wife said I needed more life insurance but no company would take me if I continued jumping so I quit. Well i was never encouraged to jump again even tho the insurance thru my job didn't exclude skydiving. After 23 years we divorced ( not because of me wanting to jump again ) and within 6 months I was jumping again. I am now married to a wonderful woman who ( even tho she doesn't jump ) likes to be at the DZ every bit as much as I do. I quit jumping after Quincy last year because we now have a grandbaby. The time and money can be better spent on them instead of jumping but me wife wouldn't go for that. She said we have plenty of money and we see the kids regulary and the only reason I quit was because I was scared to jump. Gotta love a woman like that!!!! So I am getting my reserve repacked and will be jumping my ass off again within the week.

  13. Flyhi: What evers on sale at Walmart. Hey man that where I buy. Their sale sandels in the summer and their sale tennirunners in the winter. Walmart is the number one business here in Oklahoma other than the mobile home lots.
  14. Aggiedave So are paracomanders but have your ever seen them swoop a pond. I could have swooped a pond when I jumped them back in 1972 with some of the winds we jumped in, had I been over a pond instead of trees.
  15. 350+ and not a mal yet. I do expect one someday and make every like it will be the one.
  16. And your point is??? Just joking..... My wife, with the help of her bonus money, is getting a dimond ring. Should be good for going to the DZ every weekend for a few months. You see she don't jump. But she likes to hangout there anyway.

  21. Hello everyone. I'm new to this fourm area but not to DZ.com. I jump at Skydive Tulsa near Tulsa Oklahoma. I have uploaded some of my pic I wanted to share with you all. I'm still a novice videographer. Most of the pics were captured from video I have taken so they aren't real good quality. To view them all do a search for Oklahoma Skydiving. Hope you enjoy them. Merry Christmas to all from Oklahoma. Don and Robin Maxwell
  22. The CamRL doesn't look as tho it would work. The JVC GRDVM 90 does not have a socket to attach any kind of remote switch. It does have an IR sensor on the front for a remote signal. The camera comes with a remote but it's too big to mount in front of the camera.
  23. Not to long ago I made a post about trying to find a company to make a remote small enough to mount in front of a mini camcorder to use the still function. Well I haven't had much luck. In order to get the cost down low enough I would have to order at least 200 and I'm not sure there are that many camera jumpers out there who would buy them. I do have one last hope in getting this done. So keep an eye here for news forth comming. Also just in case someone else thinks it isn't nesscary to use the still picture function and just use the capture method, I have already tried that and the quality is poor. It can be made to look alittle better if you work it over with a photo program but the result are worth the trouble.
  24. With your PC5 it may produce a sharp pic with the capture mode. But with my JVC grdvm 90 I can't get a real sharp pic. You can check out some pics I captured and see how clear they are. www.community.webshots.com/user/skydiver51
  25. I have a JVC grdvm 90u. There is no flutter in my camera. So far I like everything about it. I made a mount with a piece that comes over the top of the camera and down the back about half way to keep the risers from hitting the view finder and shuting it off. So far it hasn't cut off on me in freefall. I really haven't heard of to many big differences except maybe price. You can check out my page on webshots to see some picks I captured from the video I took. About the last 8 pics are with my JVC. here's the address: community.webshots.com/user/skydiver51
