CONGRATS!!!!!! Had it not been for my EX-wife I would have been in the sport for 30 years this year. Thank god for the wife I have now. She doesn't jump but almost makes me go every weekend so she can go to the DZ with me.

I'm a leg man mainly but I do notice the boobs and those are gross!!!! To me big boobs are exciting. As alot of you have said "more than a hand full is a wast" is how I feel. My wife has the perfect size, one hand full. It's not as scarey as you might think it would be. I always ( except for a couple of landings ) landed in the outer landing areas instead of the main one between manifest and the loading tents. Just keep an eye on everyone around you. I was never really in a big crowd after opening til landing. If there's people there you know then you will have a great time.

In my opinion it depends on whether you started before you met or after. If you started after you met it needs to be a 50/50 decision unless you think more of skydiving than her. If you started jumping before you met her then she needs to move on and find someone who doesn't jump. I was jumping before I met my wife. She knew how much I loved the sport and didn't even try to get me to quit. We met for the first time when I asked her to come to the DZ. Even though she still don't jump she likes go to the DZ every bit as much as I do. She has been a manifest girl at two different DZs and could fly through the first jump class getting almost every question right. She passed up a chance to go out to a comedy club, on our second date, when the DZO offered to fly us to a neighboring state to jump at their DZ when it was too windy here. She always puts my jumping first with out me asking. There are non- skydiving women out there who will put you and your jumping first or split the weekends up to include time to do what she wants. But then you could find a female skydiver who wants to go every weekend. I really feel this is a decision you need to make for yourself. It's your life and future at stake here. My first jump was in 1972. The students jumped round 28ft military surplus with a double L mod for steering. On the ride up i'm going over my reserve deployment procedures ( student rigs didn't have any means to cutaway, you had to cover the reserve with you left hand, pull the handle, grab the hem and shake it out to inflate before it got to the mess you had over your head ) which was scary enough. Then this guy who was going first gets out and freezes up on the strut. He wouldn't jump so we had to make another pass then he decides to try to climb back in the plane and slips and is hanging on the wheel strut so the jm reaches down and unhooks his hand and lets him fall. ( we were jumping static line ) I'm setting there next to go and wondering what the f**k did I get my self into. But like a true marine I was I did everything perfect. Well I did have skid marks on my underwear but everything else went ok. Idiocy = Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
