Anyone used the cookie Atomic as a freefly helmet yet?
JarheadNYC replied to jenette's topic in Gear and Rigging
Pics with the box off. As for the drilling for the Hypoxic switch custom orQuote factory I wouldn't know ChutingStar did all the work really clean job I must say. Live every day as it was your last, one day you'll be right! -

I have one the camera box easily comes off and on I use it for fun jumping with the camera box off. If I want to video I just attach the cookie box to the padlock quick release on the side and attach (1) wire which is nicely hidden under the padding. For now here are the pics with the camera attached. I'll post some later without or you can check it out on the cookie site. Live every day as it was your last, one day you'll be right! -
Your friend did an awesome job! When can he do mine? Good luck & Blue Skies! Live every day as it was your last, one day you'll be right!

Cookie Atomic with CX-100 side mount, Blue Skies! Live every day as it was your last, one day you'll be right!

Just finished the D/C power upgrade for my CX-100 now my Cookie Atomic is complete, for my trip to Florida. Unless I find some new great gadget or great lens. This was recommended by "theonlyski" it's a simple upgrade that enables you to keep your camera in the cookie enclosure and you never need to remove it to charge the battery. In addition I have the hypoxic debrief cable to export or view footage without removing the camera. The "theonlyski" also sent me the parts list and offered any assistance, even to build the enclosure. I told him he should patent the idea and $$$, but as usual all skydivers want to share our ideas for the love of the sport. Parts List - Size M Panel-mount Coaxial DC Power Jack Model: 274-1563 | Catalog #: 274-1563 $2.99 Size M Coaxial DC Power Plug (2-Pack) Model: 274-1569 | Catalog #: 274-1569 $2.99 Tools needed soldering iron, solder, flux, drill, dremel with grinding attachment, and some electrical tape. Wear a dust mask carbon fiber drilling & grinding is messy. Big thanks goes out to "theonlyski" member of our forum and keep up the good work. In addition I'd like to thank you for your service to our nation he will soon be deploying to Iraq once again, we all wish you "God Speed" in your mission and hope to see you in the sky soon. "Sonic" at the Ranch Pro Shop just sent me these to make me drool. My rig is almost ready needs a few modifications before my trip to Florida. Big thanks to "Sonic" for taking the time with me to design the new rig and the array of options. The custom embroidery and design are sick, thanks you rock! For now here are a few pics I'll post more after completed. Live every day as it was your last, one day you'll be right!

Have not yet jumped the Atomic due to bad weather here in NYC. Currently too cold heading to Florida next month. The Hypoxic Hypeye D pro w/expansion kit is sweet works seamlessly with the CX-100 at least on the ground. I believe the CX-105 is just the european version of the CX-100 so the controls should be the same. The guys at ChutingStar built it up for me I'm sure they could offer any assistance if needed. I'm picking up more supplies from BH Photo today for my CX-100 for the trip have not decided on wide angle lens and need an extended battery pack. I'll post more pics of the finished product. My buddy will be jumping the helmet in Florida taking crazy footage of me as I demo some new canopies next month. I'll post the footage as soon as we get it, feel free to pm me if you have any other questions. Blue Skies! Live every day as it was your last, one day you'll be right!

Thanks for all the input we decided were going to make a road trip down the East Coast from NYC to Florida and hit DZ's on the way down to Florida. I be cursing up a storm if we get grounded due to weather and the weather is awesome at Eloy, AZ. Anyway we'll eventually make it to AZ some time this year. Thanks to all that posted, Blue Skies! Another vote for ChutingStar I have made purchases from them in the past always the best customer service and quick delivery time. They have much more in stock items than other pro shops I've used in the past. This morning I received a wake up call on a weekend from J to say he is assembling my most recent purchase I made last night can't wait until it arrives. ChutingStar rocks! Blue Skies! Guys & Gals - Planning a week vacation last week of February where do you think I'll get in the most jumps. My major concern is weather last year I was grounded (2) days due to high winds in Florida Deland, Palatka, Z-Hills. I know your not meteorologists but I figured you could give me some input. Thanks in advance! Blue Skies Live every day as it was your last, one day you'll be right!

Left NYC to go down to Palatka, Florida to get my AFF. The staff were awesome and very professional. Even with two days of bad weather I completed my AFF and were jumping with the local falling gators. Art the owner and his staff made me feel right at home. I always had my rig packed, gear available, & coaches willing to assist me on free fall & tricks. Eveyone was great locals giving me tips on freestyle exits and offering to take me to the Orlando wind tunnel to work on my stability. Overall I had the time of my life. I even had my own call sign one of the pilots used to shout over the air "Yankee in the air" everytime I exited the plane. Overall great staff & great times at Palatka I will make the trip again with friends that what to do AFF! The prices were also great for AFF, and jump tickets.
