Actually McCain has voted with democrats 53% of the time where Obama has voted 13% of the time with Republicans. Clearly McCain has shown he tries to do what is right vs. what will get you earmarks and elected president. Once again McCain has shown that it is "Country First" and Obama has shown that it is "Obama" first. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

No, it is not and you might want to check what you are using for your reference. Your statement was "gets more money from the US federal government than any other state.". Nowhere in that sentence do you say anything about Per Capita. You addressed that in your next paragraph. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

Tell me what government budget Obama has kept balanced, contingency fund he has created and most of all what he has given back to the people he serves? Not true, try again. Is the "bridge" issue really the best shot you have? You know for a fact that since she has been there, earmarks have been reduced by almost half each year. On the other hand, Obama just keeps asking for more and more. Really, then why was it not done before her? At least She has, unlike Obama. Really? Show me in any of her budgets where earmark funds were used for the contingency fund. Compared to what Obama wants to do it is nothing. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

You think that it is silly that Obama has NEVER balanced a government budget, created a contingency fund or given a single dollar back to the people he serves? I would be damned concerned myself if I were you. At least Palin has PROVED that she can run a government prudently. So let me see if I understand, Palin was smart enough to go after revenue that the oil industry should be fairly paying to reduce the cost of government on the people she serves and that is a bad thing? My question is what has Obama done to do the same. I mean damn, with 18 times more population he could not find anything or anyway to help the people? “PER CAPITA” has nothing to do with my question and it still stands: Tell me what budget he has kept balanced, surpluses he has created and most of all what he has given back to the people he serves? So what you are saying is that over a three year period Alaska will get (if the 2009 funds are approved) $947 million dollars? Funny, cause that is less than Obama got in ONE YEAR! Experience is what you have done, not what you are going to do, so let’s judge her by what she has done as governor since that is not disputable. Kept a balanced budget Has a $5 Billion surplus Gave back $1,200 to every citizen Cut earmarks from the federal government each year by almost half. So tell me again from a budget and economic standpoint what Obama has done? And don't give me the crap that he or any other candidate says that they are going to do. That is the most spineless excuse I have ever heard and if it is what the democrats are using as an excuse not to do their job then they are worthless and need to go. Bush has vetoed 12 bills and the only one that was economic in nature was the farm bill ($288 billion) in which his veto was over turned. So the fact that the democrats have had 100% success of the economic bills in what they have submitted just tells me they either don’t know what to do or won’t do their job. True for intercontinental bombing but not true for shipping supplies and troops from Russia to the USA. Alaska would still be an entry point. As for the oil, I am sure that Russia would want to take control of it for their use and prevent the USA from having access to it. I am also sure that Russia would be interested in taking out the strategic missile defense system located in Alaska. To think that Alaska is not a strategic point would be foolish. Please, I don't believe anyone with common sense and especially you think she meant it that way. It was clear that when she was making the comment discussing Russia and the proximity to Alaska it was that she always has to be aware of what is going on in Russia as it relates to diplomatic standing with the USA. Clearly in the event of an attack on the USA by Russia, Alaska would be a first strike entry point. She clearly does need to know this as the commander in chief (Governor) in the protection of her state and its citizens. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

I agree and I figure I already have several federal ID's (FAA, FCC, SS) so I don't see it as a bad thing. Besides, I already go out in the morning look up and smile for the morning satellite pass before I go to work. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

Are you sure? I don't agree. The last time I was involved in politics was when I voted for Gore and my own county (Palm Beach County, FL) screwed our nation. Forward to the present time, because of what I have read on here and the radical/hostile views presented I have done the following: Changed parties, registered to vote again, donated on both the local and national levels, volunteered 12 hours so far on the campaign. So as you can see, the effect has grown outside of these forums. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is! -
You might read this and get back to me and tell me again why the democratic controlled congress has not voted to bring them home: U.S. law & declarations of war President of the United States--although he is the commander-in-chief of the U.S. armed forces, the president has no clear constitutional authority to declare war. Congress of the United States--the sole branch of government with the constitutional authority to formally declare war. So if you are not voting to bring our troops home then shut the fuck up and support them until you do! Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

Because it is so strict that if anything does not match between your ID (ie drivers license) and your voter registration you can't vote. So say that your DL says that you live on First Dr. and your voter registration says that you live on First Drive, by the law you would not be able to vote and would be given a provisional ballot and would have to go before a judge after the election and have the judge verify that it is you to get your provisional vote to count. The concern is that low income families and working people would not be able to afford or take the time off to go to court. Florida is so screwed up with voting that I guess if they can keep you from voting they can't screw up counting the votes. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!
