Missouri River Valley Skydivers Boogie
Spdoat replied to franksback's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I' glad you have been able to make connections in the skydiving world. it is wonderful to feel comrodery within an organization. congrats. mrvs has wonderful facilities. I haven't seen anyone dispute that. I've enjoyed my few jumps there. I have been amazed at everyone getting so worked up. everyone is free to jump anywhere they choose to spend their money. its business. no one is forcing anyone to jump someplace they do not want to. everyone is going to jump where they are happiest. hence the prior post. I understand the politics of the area so much more after this and why jumpers drive the distances to jump where they are happy. competition between business's is always good to give consumers choices...this resulting boogie being a great example. we now are able to choose from two turbines where months ago there were only a few 182's! I hope both mrvs and the new dzo's have sucessful and profitable weekends. I love my husband! -
Missouri River Valley Skydivers Boogie

Wow, just read a copy of that "attacks" and that was something else dude... I have absolutely no doubt why the experienced jumpers leave KC to make jumps now. This place is something else... I love my husband! -
Has Paragear contributed anything to this thread other than calling people assholes and stealing idenity information? Do you think you are cute Paragear because I have a feeling most probably do not think so. You obviously are trying to hide something from others which leaves you no creditability. If you want people to listen to you and give thoughtful answers, write something intelligent and back it with your own identity. Christina I love my husband!

I don't understand her motives unless it was just believing a bunch of mis-information distributed through the city. Her humorous site isn't going to "stop the parachuters", the dz will open April 1 with or without the locals approval. I think the locals think that skydivers are just a bunch of idiots jumping out of planes who don't know anything and have no respect. I wonder if she is turning all sorts of shades of pink now that her information is posted out here even though she thought she was annoymous with Farmer McNasty. You're right though, if all the public hatred was focused towards something worthwhile, the world would be a better place. It is a shame really that people are so full of anger in life they feel then need to take it out on others. I love my husband!

I imagine if they thought that people would give them this stuff, they would. It is really quite sad what America has come to where someone thinks they can play off people's generosity to get something for free instead of getting up off their ass and getting it for themselves. I know that some of the dzo's around the surrounding area have banned her from jumping at thier dz's because they are intelligent enough to realize the possible outcome of having them around if something else should happen. I think that Shayna would get a lot more respect from everyone if she would quit taking advantage of yours and my tax money to pay for her child /medical bills and take care of her business by getting a job. People haven't forgotten about her outside the skydiving world, I was doing an observation at a vet clinic in KC last week and skydiving came up and the employees all told me that I "was crazy, didn't I see what happened to the girl that smashed her face when her chute didn't open." It is disgusting the lengths people will go to, to get someone else to pay for mishaps. I hope for her recovery and a healthy child but as she continues to milk this for every penny it is worth when she is so desparate to put this behind her, I have a hard time having any sympathy at all anymore. I have Arabians but I rode a Percherion Gelding in CO for a week named Connie. They are so big! Christina I love my husband!

Thanks for the review. It was looking like a good movie to me but needed a little extra help to get me to the theater to fork over the money!! I have two dogs, 4 horses, Disney lover and am applying to a Vet Technician program so that movie should be one for me! Christina I love my husband!

That is an awesome idea about the fetching, I'm going to do that as soon as she is released for full activity and can play fetch again! They are a lot of fun to train but I really enjoy them once they are mature and just a good companion! We are planning on getting another next fall so the fun will start all over again! haha! I'm finding training puppies is a lot like training horses! Christina I love my husband!

Wow they do look alike!!! She is getting more brown undertones the older she gets too. We are guessing Lab Dalmation mix but she was a rescue puppy so we don't know for sure. All her litter mates were canibalized so we don't have any other puppies to compare to! Christina I love my husband!

Here is a picture of Joe's and my hole digging, chewing machine! She's 8 months old and just recovering from hip surgery but that hasn't slowed the digging down any! Christina I love my husband!

It is very apparent where peoples aliances are with this situation. There is no doubt in my mind who those of you who are afraid to reveal your real name are in association with. I am from the KC area so don't give me the bullshit about non-locals keep your mouth shut. I have no home dropzone so I am looking at this with no dzo's demanding my loyality. Just the facts, I can venture to guess the reason people don't want to see your facts because you are not giving unbias facts. Here's an example You're opinions are not "just the facts" so quit claiming to be so. You've also threatened to quit posting on this thread multiple times over... what brings you back again? I am excited to see the outcome of this dz. I was very saddened when I moved to KC to see the skydiving politics as they are. Fun jumpers travel for hours because of the politics of the area. Frankly every single dz in this city lacks and I am glad to see a new one come in and take up the slack. Hopefully this one will stand above the petty crap that so many talk about in hushed voices. The reality is that they will open April 1 (as stated in the minutes) regardless of people's opinions on hinderance to Lifeflight, the surrounding areas, and everything else. It is about good competition which is exactly what is needed so everyone can step up to the plate and improve. It was stated above that it truly does show the character of the dzo's using such tactics because of fear the new guy just might be better. I love my husband!

Let me clarify. She was not jumping a 135. It was a Sabre2 190. I jumped a 135 in that container months ago, not Shayna. Also this was not in AZ, it was Siloam Springs as all the news casters have stated. I was just stating that I don't think it was such a large reserve and my past experiences. I love my husband!
-
I jumped that container for my last few student jumps and I recalled it being a smaller reserve. It is just my recollection but I thought it was a PD126 to match the 135 main I jumped in that container. It was back in Feburary so my facts could be off but I really believe it was much smaller. I love my husband!

I'm sure of it too sadly enough. It's frustrating to me that some people have to use their mistakes to profit. I love my husband!
-
I just e-mailed Shayna to get her side of what is going on. Instead of speculating I thought I would go to the source to see what is going on in her head to make her go to the media like this. I love my husband!

This whole event being taken to the media and then not being accurate in accounting ALL events is rediculous and sad to me. I hear that the UK has been contacted as well. I love my husband!

Then unless this girl was hurt, this post should not be in the incident forum, but maybe the instructors or S/T forum? Edit: Just noticed it has been moved. Be safe Ed She was hurt and has had to undergo many major surgeries to get her to the point she is at. Here is the link to the www.ky3.com TV station that aired it in Springfield, MO. http://www.ky3.com/news/2005622.html Cut and paste it into your browser or just search skydive on www.ky3.com. I can't seem to make the link work on this forum.
