That should be pretty straight forward too. Depends on the type of car. It either has a spring loaded tensioner or a bracket with a slide bolt adjustment Spring loaded adjustment: Using a pry bar just unload the tension from the belt Remove belt Follow the diagram for the serpitine belt around all the pulleys Release the pry bar so the tension is back on the belt Sliding adjustment: Loosen the hold down bolts and bracket bolts. Slide the alt. to relieve tension on the belt Replace belt Tighten alt against belt so there is about 1/4" deflection when you push down on the belt Tighten adjustment bolts Easy enough there? I used it last year and it did help me quit...made cigs taste like shit...only trouble was once I stopped taking it I started smoking again. Then on in July I quit cold turkey and have not smoke since Like Aggie Dave said it is all about you!
