How about we do another group night jump? This time, let's do it wearing something, like a wing suit. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity -
I like the feeling of the butterflies. I don't think of them as nerves, but the anticipation of being able to jump. How you look at something can make it go from scary to fun. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

I used the standard little cut off disks that came with my dremel kit. Wear safety glasses because when they break, those shards really fly. Drill a hole at both ends of the slot and cut in between. Take your time and be prepared to go through a lot of disks. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

Suggestion, bring lots of cash. Pea gravel, not crushed stone, is expensive. For the size of a decent pit, $$$$$. There was a discussion on here some time back. If you do a search, you should be able to find it. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

I don't free fly, so not sure how it works. Clean it with a soft cloth and water. Do not use any cleaning solutions. They can cause it to get a haze on the lens. I learned the hard way. I used to keep my alti in it when in my gear bag. Caused scratches. Now I suggest having its own helmet bag with nothing stored inside. Not even gloves. But even with these issues, love the helmet. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

Do you understand the benfits of a Collin's Lanyard?
monkycndo replied to klingeme's topic in Gear and Rigging
For those that are interested and not familiar, could you post a diagram of how the lanyard works? Danke mucho. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity -
I have one and like it pretty well. It is one of only two full face helmets that fits my large melon. The other is the new FreeZr2. My only peeve with the Mamba is that the lens gets scratched/hazy petty easily. Be very careful how you handle/store/clean the lens. At least the lens is just a piece of bent plastic that can be purchased at any TapPlastic store. The FreeZr lens is custom molded, but seems to take abuse a bit better. 50 donations so far. tipping for recovered chopped canopy
monkycndo replied to bigbearfng's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I think it's cool you would offer a tip/reward/etc for the effort. I have chased down or helped look for many a canopy/freebag/handles. Not always successfully. I would never expect any type of compensation. An offer of a cold frosty one is always appreciated. I just hope that I have same offer of support when I have to chop and then look for gear. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity -
weight bags for packing parachute
monkycndo replied to djta0707's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I made some packing weights like what I saw at Z-Hills. They are a plastic mold that is a 6"x12" cylinder that is filled with concrete. About the size of two coffee cans. They are used for testing concrete strength. I used steel cable inserted in the top as a handle. I have seen a rope used, but they wear out. The cable is indestructible. The cylindrical shape fits nicely into the leg straps and keeps the risers even, it will fit into the main pack tray on a tandem, or can lay flat over the risers. I made them about a year ago for a DZ and they are still going strong. I was lucky that all the materials were available at work so cost me nothing. -

A ring site is one way to go, but if you are using a wide angle lens on the video camera, a simple dot or paper reinforcer on the goggles works and isn't a snag hazard. Once you start shooting stills, then a ring site would be in order. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

Skyfest - June 3rd - 9th - Chester, South Carolina USA
monkycndo replied to ScottGray's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Have to agree with what has been said. Thanks to The Brothers Gray for organizing, all the birds that suffered through the hot weather to keep flocking and J of SkyFest for providing the venue for us to play. Also brought a new bird into the flock. Michael got in at least 3 flights and did well. Sorry, no "campos" photo was taken. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. I have a large head and have had a very hard time finding a flat top that is comfortable. I have two Boneheads currently which I am very happy with, but didn't like the FTP. Today, I tried the Vapor narrow here at SkyFest. They didn't have a wide to try, but if it is anything like the narrow, I think I have finally found my helmet. Light weight, smaller than the FTP so it should work nicely for wingsuit 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

monkycndo replied to Antigua's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Look you up? Right. Don't have a clue what you look like. Oh, now thatI think about it, it should be real easy. I'll just look for the guy that isn't jumping. I should be easy to find. Look for the Phoenix-Fly banner and the guy trying to hook people on nylon crack. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity -
