  1. Finally, made my 500th jump on Saturday, July 6th, 2002 ,practicing 16 way for an informal Texas meet later this fall with Otter Limits. It was a great day to make the jump and great people to jump with. I still feel like such a baby - Maybe Teen is a better description. Old enough to know better, but still too young to "really get it". Feels good to hit a milestone though!

  10. I had my FIRST (beer...) friend come out Saturday to do a tandem. 4 years in the freakin sport and finally I have one friend show up. I rode in the plane and did a hop n pop - Did one 6 way, it was supposed to be a chick way, but we grabbed John Lee at the last minute and made it a chick dive with John Lee. He was in the back of all the zippers and loving the view.

  21. It's over? We have a post event meeting to discuss our successes and what we could improve on this week. Then it MIGHT be over. It was really great to see so many jumpers at our DZ, but I can't say I won't appreciate a nice quite weekend of just the gang and endless tandems - at least for one weekend. What a wild ride it's been! GO on GO, and Present

  23. Most amazing thing I have EVER seen. A 100+ formation in clear view, break offs, the sound of all those canopies opening at one time. Wow!! We did not break the Texas State Record, though. It still stands at 105 from Skydive Dallas. I think we might have the biggest formation over Texas though, they built a 121 way to 119. No injuries and from the feedback we received I think everyone had a great time and thought it was well organized. I'm estimating over 300 jumpers on the dropzone and maybe another 300 spectators. With all the tents, and food set up, It honestly looked like a carnival. Never seen my DZ like that before . The sight of 3 Otters and 2 Casa taking off was pretty amazing to me. Too bad we didn't break the Texas State Record, but there is always next year. Paula GO on GO, and Present
