  2. Awh dude I was just playing. I think it accidently happens to the best of them. I thought you told me a story a few years ago at madras that you forgot to un-collapse the slider and it hammered you. Na' Cho' Cheese
  3. HEY Just because I can kick your ass in a "fly directly underneath a tandem" contest gives you no right to be jealous. I think you need to go jump your canopy with the slider collapsed again Na' Cho' Cheese
  4. HA! way to bring bring back the bad posts Go ahead an rub it in. I'm so past that stage What do you think of the vid? Na' Cho' Cheese
  5. After all my skydives I got to jump with my dad at last. I had an awesome time. I got some pics of it. Me and my dad (tandem instructor). I got to video some of his tandems he did too. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELB1w-h4KB4 That was also fun. Kind of wanted to gloat. Na' Cho' Cheese
  6. Number of cells doesn't change pack volume (ie 7 vs 9 cell) 135 sq ft is 135 sqft Na' Cho' Cheese
  7. I've taught an old Korean war vetran how to pack. I think he is 80 yrs old. Still can't get it. Na' Cho' Cheese
  8. 0:3:4 did some AFF training stuff. Some freeflying. It was pretty cool weekend. 8pt 2 way freefly. You Dz.com nerds need to get off the computer and start freaking jumping. I look around and have passed people in jump numbers on here that were ahead of me by hundreds of jumps when I first started. Na' Cho' Cheese
  9. 1) A person who is going to jump the parachute, FAA rigger, someone under the direct supervision 2) yes. class 3? 3) 500 jumps, Coach rating, 18 years of age (Damn) 4) stall speed? 5) every year or 500 hours 6) nothing really. approval for inflight doors. Steps. etc. 7) taxi, take off, landing 8) FAA doesn't regulate that kind of stuff. They leave it to a parachuting orginization don't they? 9) 2 parachutes packed within 120 days. 10) don't know 11) not sure 12) its either 7 years or forever? 13) nothing. USPA is not law thank you 14) TSO 15) TSO 16) from the day you do your first jump? 17) no rules are set by FAA 18) hmmm... I may have to redo my test. Edit on number 3: they don't have requirements. 13. There! I got it updated 500 jumps now Oh boy watch out! I'm not trying to get in trouble here. Thats really the last thing I want to to; but it has been awhile hasn't it? I'm not trying to persuade or teach anyone on here. I'm just telling you guys my opinion. And to me it makes sense. If you can pull stable then you won't need the docile canopy for wingsuit. If you pull sloppy then a docile canopy is what you should be jumping. I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said before. Edit: Actually my new wingsuit rig just arrived today. Check it out. 14. Yeah I'm probably wrong even though its my opinion but this is how I strongly feel. If you can deploy cleanly then I see no problem jumping a high performance parachute. What I hate is when people are like, "Dirka Dirka... You have to jump big canopys because you get line twists when flying wingsuits... Bahka Lacka!". Not true. If you experience line twists then obviously you shouldn't be jumping a high performance parachute. I guess what I'm trying to say is jump the parachute your normally comfortable with jumping. If you jump an ickybob 75, then by all means jumps whatever you feel like. To answer your question I have about 60 wingsuit jumps with my canopy and loading. For my first dozen or so jumps I used a Sabre 135. Na' Cho' Cheese
  15. This is going to be a great thread. IMO selecting different types of canopies/wingloadings shouldn't play a role in flying a wingsuit. I see it as: Your deployment position should be the same whether it be RW, freeflying, or even wingsuiting. If your deployment is the same as "Joe Blow's" freeflying skydive then you shouldn't have a problem with jumping high performance parachutes. If you have instability problems while deploying in your wingsuit, then you probably shouldn't be jumping a high performance parachute that relys on good body position for a good deployment. For the record I jump a crossfire 99 loaded at 1.7. I've had 0 (zero) problems. Na' Cho' Cheese
  16. Cheeseburger or Atticus Na' Cho' Cheese
  17. hmmm... I'll believe it when I see it. WAIT I'll believe it when I'm jumping out of it. We all know what happened last summer with the Otter. Na' Cho' Cheese
  18. GPS would be the most accurate but to keep it simple try this: Exit into a round. Then in the same direction. Call of the contest at, lets say 4K... Whoever is ahead obviously won. Na' Cho' Cheese
  19. Video or still settings What's your camera and what settings do you use for different types of skydives? Everybody has their own unique settings and I'm sure everybody would like to experiment other photographers settings. Do you use flash with you top-secret awesome shot recipe? or do you just put it on the sports mode and shoot away? I and a couple other people are interested in what modes/ settings you jump with. Na' Cho' Cheese
  20. I have an all-sport with the buldge just like the mindwarp does. Whats interesting is that on Boneheads website I see no buldge in the picture of there's. But mine is an all-sport and it has a buldge just like the mindwarp. Na' Cho' Cheese
  21. Yes I'm holding my helmet right now and the right side of the helmet has an edge just like the mindwarp does. The guner does not have such edge. Na' Cho' Cheese
  22. FALSE There is a weird corner on the right side of the mindwarp to disable you from putting a camera on that side. As far as I've seen the mindwarp and all sport's shells are identical. Its the padding that different between the 2 helmets. To fit 2 audible along with my wires and cam-eye, it took lots of cutting out the ear pads so it was even possible. Its still not very comfortable. Na' Cho' Cheese
  23. The guner is a different shape than the mindwarp and all sport. Its a lot quieter while in freefall. The All sport and mindwarp seem to be the same except the liner is different. The ear pads just have different access points to put in your audibles. The mindwarp you have to peel back the pad and slip it through and the all sport is easily accessable from its default padded position. The chin strap is a little different but they fasten the same way. I have an all sport with some cameras on it and it works excellent. Na' Cho' Cheese
  24. I heard Deland's porter crashed a couple of years ago. Na' Cho' Cheese
