Shit thats nasty, i drive a 4x4 so im heavy enough to set em off, but a trick my dad taught me, when the other set is turning red count to 3 and yours will be green works 90% of the time when there are no turning cars or bikes. Failing that just go through! A man who views the world at 50, the same as he did when he was 20, has wasted 30 yrs of his life. "Muhammad Ali"

just doesnt ever happen here. (OZ) We are subjected to heat heat heat. The best we get are missile rocks from quarry trucks and that pisses us off coz you can guarantee it will be a new windscreen and once you've got it another bloody truck wil go past and do it again A man who views the world at 50, the same as he did when he was 20, has wasted 30 yrs of his life. the weight of the car my dad told me. unless you are at a major set then they are determined by the time of day as to what secence they will change at. Maybe its all B/S but that what i was told! Hi John, Me personally dont use one but a friend of my dads did and it went someting like this. He numbered hid goals from most important to least important , then rated them as money was involved in each one. He wanted to buy an investment property, increase him annual income, find a wife, marry and take a holiday. So he put them in an achivable order and worked on one at a time. He has now completed each one and has just returned from his honeymoon/holiday. I think that if you need a plan, be conservative so you dont do your own head in if you dont complete each one. As your married( i think?) involve your wife so that you both know what it is your working towards, be it investments, more cash, holidays or just plain wellbeing. Good luck. Doddy

Hi all, This has to be the worst start to the year! I am currently doing my AFF and im up to stage 5, but last nite that came to a grinding halt when i slipped on the wet carpet that i had just cleaned the yogo off from my 2 yr old and re did an injury i first did at 14. (achilles tendon) So back to the crutches and reading all your fun stories of air time. Sozzy for moping but i just cant belive i did such a spaz thing!!! Any how i hope you all have a great time in the air and i'll let ya all know when im flying again. By the way do any of you know where i can subscribe to any skydiving mags as we dont have them apart from the ASM here in australia? Thanx and blue skies Doddy A man who views the world at 50, the same as he did when he was 20, has wasted 30 yrs of his life. "Muhammad Ali"

Hi all, I have been off for a while, and due to inclament weather have been pushing uphill to get stage 3 & 4 done. Have done them both now and can say that it was the best and most scarey experiance to date!! Stage 3 went well and stage 4 followed, but unfortunantly for my JM i forgot the 5000ft wave off and dumped at 4500ft. Other than that it went quite well!!

Hi Kelly, Like you i did my first tandem jump and alas i was hooked. My hubby was on whuffo statis for a while but i convinced him to do a tandem jump just so he could experience what it is i feel when im 14,00 ft up and jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft. After he did his tandem jump he was stoked, but has said that he is more than happy to watch!! I try to get to my DZ (www.skydivenagambie.com.au) every 2 weeks to keep the spirit alive ( not that i wanes at all) I hope you get out of the sport what i do, as i have 2 kids and find it a great way to destrees and it also keeps life in check!! Blue skies Renee

Re: Not being able to breath. My Father and Husband (both got large chests and shoulders) both said the same thing when they both got back from their tandems. Im currently doing my AFF course and have also done a tandem and have never felt like i cant take a breath. Im not sure why this is so but common sense says maybee its because you have like my dad and husband, a large chest???? Any how dont let that put you off! Blue Skies Renee
