I'm pretty sure at least one design is patented by a belgian guy.... but I havent managed to find the url.... EDIT: Here it is http://www.compal.be/LazybagEN.html

There is no such thing as a Techno 170 ;-). But any 170 reserve would do....

it's an excellent rig, very comfortable, incredibly tough (I own one). But dealing with Pdf is a PITA. In the it depends where you are and if you have a good relationship with your dealer. The container in itself is really top notch...

I prefer the Electra to the Pulse, and it's easier to find 2nd hand....
-
I tried it and I have been disapointed. I tried a Pulse 150, loaded @1,45. I found the opening only average, mostly a bit brisk for my taste. Very reactive on toggle, heavy risers, flare only OK. I only put 2 jumps on it and I gave it back, I found the the Stom a lot more to my taste (I jump a Sabre 2 150).... It's absolutely not a review, just a quick impression... One of my friend was very pleased with the Pulse and puchased one. So be sure to try beforehand.

What book would you recommend for a newcomer to this sport?
P-dro replied to shah269's topic in Safety and Training
You wote this book? then congratulations!! For me this is DA BOOK for a new jumper, even not-so-new jumper could learn some stuff. Really an excellent book, I definitevely recommend it.... Personnally I am not fond of poynter's book, I find it to be a bit old fashioned.... -
Aerodyne Service Bulletin relocating ADD cutters
P-dro replied to riggerrob's topic in Gear and Rigging
Have you precise information on that problem ? Because I never heard of that... -
Yeah, I wasn't doubting that the price is justified (otherwise I wouldn't have made the purchase) but I hadn't fully realised the complexity of a WS, the comparison with a canopy is very explicit. I 'll try to shoot a picture in my office as soon as I receive it (traditions must be respected). But i'll leave the Campos to someone that sucks less than me with Photoshop....

Thanks to all for your answers. No, I have around 30 jumps with a Prodigy and 60 with Phi, Phantom, S-Fly and 1 in Ghost (all demo/rental suits)
-
Hello, I just placed my order for my Ghost 2 and I was wondering about the high cost of wingsuit compared to for exemple RW suits (two or three times depending on the RW suit). Can someone shed some light ?
-
Interesting. When you say 4x1x1 what does it represents ? Where can we purchase the silicon tube ?
-
Is there a timeframe for the publication of this document ?
-
No, it was because of your body position. And if you wait to be in a perfect freefall position after chopping, you are putting yourself in a very dangerous position... Last point, before being TSO'ed reserve are tested packed with linetwist. Concerning the unreleased riser problem, a workaround has been developed on the Atom container. There are 2 pins on the reserve, each linked to a riser, the RSL can not open the container until the 2 risers are gone... There must be some drawbacks too, since no system is perfect...

Has anyone heard of a fullface helmet called Vader??
P-dro replied to withoutwings's topic in Gear and Rigging
hum, a lot of snag point there are... -
It must be very close to the ghost, no? If I judge by the overlay ? Why not go for a Ghost in the first place, which feel like a souped up Phantom right from sthe start ?
-
I have to agree but would be more inclined to point you toward the Storm in 190 or bigger. +1 for the Storm, perfect openings, fun to fly and ultra powerful flare for easy landings....
-
Rhaaaaah, I want one!! When will the Ghost 2 be released (the cables are the only thing i didn't like about it)?
-
2) Yes Is there any plan to make the others PF wingsuit (Phantom/Ghost) cable-less ?
-
I have a huge melon and and made several jumps with glasses or sunglasses. On this point the Mamba is much more roomy than the Z1. The locking mechanism is safer too (the locking pin on the Z1 breaks sometimes, seen it happen a couple of times). Overall, I vastly prefer the Mamba to the Z1, but in France the Z1is 40% cheaper...

excellent, soft and on heading...

Swoops on large canopies? Where are the videos?
P-dro replied to Chubba's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Scott Miller swooping a Navigator 220: http://www.skydivingmovies.com/ver2/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1628&string=navigator%20swoop It's the only one I know, but if there's other I'm interested... -
Yeah, we too ;-) Some other fast draws we like: BFLAN (2002 France World Record), KOCHF... We usually conclude the training days with that kind of fast random jump...
