No i think you may be right some people decided that the increase in membership fees was to much for them to swallow. so they either left the sport or joined the uspa and now go to the states for 2-3 week a year and bang in large jump numbers. If you don't vote people don't bitch about the council when it comes time for the annual 3 % increase in membership fee. Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun

Many dropzones may be doing it but its a 2 way street you misstreat your fun jumpers they will go elsewhere. regular fun jumpers are the people who will keep the dz ticking during the winter and Autum times when tandems are not possable due to the weather or the customers are not interested in getting cold. yep lillo is fairly easy to get to from Toledo,I visited the shopping mall their last year while jumping in lillo on a holiday where air space was restricted due to a military air show, no more than 50 mins traveling east for La Guardia

To quite honest dave if you wait for the optimal time to have kids, you never would. My wife and i had our first at 28, 4 years after getting married. We just felt we wanted other things before settling down to a normal life style. When kids turn up you tend to have a more adapt and survive what life throw's at you Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun

For me its the only fixed holiday of the year that an employer has a hard time touching. I have only ever been asked to, correction told i would be working christmas day boxing day and newyears day. Would not have minded new year but i have 2 young kids so decided that when it came to december i resigned, you only ever get one shot at it with your kids each year and its always different.My mother was a nurse and i still remember christmas day without her. I know that some professions are core and require cover for that time of year hospital staff, armed forces and other essential services have my sympathy. The thing that gets me pissed is the employer who just wants to make an extra buck, over the years our holidays have been eroded away by corporate greed with it just getting worse each year Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun
