What ya got on muh crack pipe?! - ONLY in Houston...SHEESH!

hahaha! well... If you've gotta go to jail, you might as well be high! It will probably be quite a while before they get to smoke some more! 010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001 -
I agree with everything you have said. If you have credit card debt, put your refund towards that debt. The interest rate you would yield on an investment would be considerably less then the interest rate you pay on your credit card. Excellent! Except for those damn capital gains taxes. 010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001

Scott Miller's Essential Canopy Control Class
Randy_H replied to Randy_H's topic in Safety and Training
I know this has probably been posted before, but I am going to do it again. I took Scott Miller's Essential Canopy Control class this weekend and can't recommend it enough to anyone who hasn't taken it yet. I am very new to skydiving, but have read everything I can get my hands on about canopy control. I've studied and practiced everything in sections 6-10 and 6-11 of the 2005 SIM and didn't think that I could really learn much more from a basic canopy control class. I thought wrong. Scott is a really mellow guy who knows his shit! No matter how much you screw up, he doesn't make you feel small and looks for positives in everything you do. He listens to YOUR reasons for doing certain things under canopy and then talks with you about what you did and what you could have done. I feel much more comfortable under my canopy since taking his class and have learned things about long spots, awareness, and low turns which will save my life at some point in my skydiving career. Thank you Scott Miller and keep up the good work! -
Very Nice! Congrats and thank you for your service! You should have a nice pension for having served 25 years! Time to enjoy life! 010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001

Yeah... just like those damn sea monkeys I sent away for about 30 years ago. My brother and I had such high hopes after seeing them in the comic book ad. The little bastards didn't do anything but circles if you held a flashlight up against the side of their tank. They didn't have sun umbrellas and hold hands like the ad showed. I hope your sense of smell is shot because penguins are stinky bastards! If you don't believe me, just take a stroll through the Penguin Encounter at a Sea World. 010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001

I second that... a crock pot is the way to go, you just put everything in it and then dinner is ready in 8 hours. California roasts are especially good. Just put in the roast, a package of those baby carrots, a bag of small red rusett (sp?) or white potatos, and some cut up onions. Then dump a package of lipton onion soup mix over all of it, cover, and let it cook for around 8-10 hours. Get it started right when you wake up in the morning and the house will have a nice aroma by the time she gets home and it will be delicious! 010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001

Excellent! I'm glad to hear that your shoulder has healed up nicely! Your descriptive story reminds me of my experiences in AFF! The dreaded "F" word... I like to refer to things as "pre-second"! 010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001

Agreed. I had my bank set up a seperate charge card which is only used for internet purchases. Since most credit card information is stored in SQL databases, there is really not much security. SQL is very easy to exploit and get admin privileges which is why CrazyIvan fell victim to some pimple faced, pud-pulling punk with too much time (and too much something else) on his hands! 010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001

yeah, the Redux version is MUCH better. I think that the whole surfboard stealing scene was cut out of the original. The redux version fills in a lot of missing gaps in the story. Well worth the rental. I went up to best buy and purchased it. AFF take 1 - various problems including arching:)
Randy_H replied to djsynne's topic in Safety and Training
Hello, and welcome Shan X! It sounds like you've had some scary experiences so far and kudos to you for hanging in there! I too had problems with my arch. After some tunnel time and talking with my instructors I was finally able to do it. I was arching with my chest thrust out. The arch actually comes from the pelvis and hips. Imagine someone standing directly behind you getting ready to prick your 'bum' with a needle. You thrust your pelvis out to get away from it. It worked for me. On my next aircraft exit, my legs and arms fell into place after I got the hips thrusted forward. I let my arms and legs relax. The relative wind pushed them into proper position. Thrust your pelvis out, bend your arms 90 degrees at the elbows and let your hands and wrists relax (let them just hang limp). Your legs should be relaxed also. Your upper legs should be relaxed and will be pushed into proper position when the relative wind hits them and you have your pelvis/hips pushed outward. If you get on your back again, tighten your butt and thrust your hips out and you will end up belly down. It took me 11 jumps to finally finsh my AFF course and the key to it all was relaxing. Good luck! -

I doubt it works. One trick that does seem to work is to have a glass of water for every drink or two. It keeps you from getting dehydrated and was highly endorsed by the athletes I went to college with. 010010010110010101100001011101000111000001110101011100110111001101111001

Every Bond movie with Sean Connery is great! For me, it would be a very close toss up between Diamonds are Forever and Dr. No.
