  13. right! it's a great way to conquer stability issues... plus some. yes, they have goodwonderful tunnel instructors. ...and all that stuff
  14. that's actually what sparked the question! my ears always hurt the following day, like i have a ton of water in my ears. i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce
  15. that's what it comes down to.. but i probably asked the question too early (2-3 jumps/wk).i probably will start wearing them after a while... i'm still the last to finish gearing up so i'll put first things first. the foam ones don't work w/me. i used the rubber kind hunters use (wingnuts rec--thanks btw) because everything else kept popping out. i was really just curious how likely it is b/c i don't want to do damage. i did notice the front of the plane is louder last weekend-- thanks everyone. i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce

  18. hahaha .....that's meeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! my turn signal=look at the way my wheels are facing while i'm at the light. hey remember when bama marketed that peanutbutter/jelly swirl stuff so you wouldn't have to break out two jars to make a sandwich? that stuff was so gross. i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce
  19. worth re-reading. be safe and see ya monday
  20. tunnel wouldn't hurt. it would be much better than getting back out there tense from the previous failed dive. the grate is more forgiving than earth... the ground doesn't care much at all. i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce
  21. hey... it took me forever to learn to arch AND relax. the two seemed oxymoronic (is that a word??) since you live in california, i would seriously think about getting to a wind tunnel before your next jump. i never wrote about my experience, but should have i guess. there's no doubt you'll remember that jump! this same this happened to me in february on my stp2 level (aff2 w/ 1 jm)... same jump and everything--turns! i turned too aggressive and went unstable. i was with a fantastic instructor and was glad when he pulled for me. the tunnel helped build muscle memory (and confidence for that matter). it's pricey, but well worth it. i wouldn't have attempted that dive again if i hadn't made the trip. obviously, it doesn't help with a.a., but it does get you used to the feeling of being in freefall.... which relaxed me! you're more likely to be alt aware when you're not freaking out, right? until i got to the flips/rolls level.. the thought of losing my arch terrified me. so, take advantage of the tunnel... you'll learn so much. the staff rocks too!
  22. sounds serious hehe where didja go! what didja do??? last night i made a reallllllly stupid mistake by going to dinner ... but spending more time on margaritas i dunno what i was thinking b/c i had JUST given blood 30 minutes before happy hr. don't forget the big glass of water!!!!!! i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce
  23. ok, so this thread took off in another direction.... but she popped up again today when i was skimming through my stock photos looking for "clocks" --- found what i needed and ran a seach on skydiving (attached) she's in a sit, so you can read her shirt (kind of). my guess is the hooters in orlando. hooters - no doubt. cold - yep. i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce
  24. my ears don't pop on the way up anymore, but they did on the first 10-+ jumps... the thought triggered that question though. so is it just the ride to altitude that is likely to do the damage? not freefall? i love the way it sounds in ff... i guess that's a negative on the helmet q too. thanks
  25. how much damage can the ride to altitde do to our ears? what about on the way down? i wore them in the tunnel, but i spent more time in there... i'm curious how many wear plugs when they jump. would earplugs be dangerous in any way since our ears pop? do helmets provide hearing protection? and if so, is that purpose frap hats??? i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce
