Does anyone who Javelin1 aka Janet Bowers, has anyone bought any gear off her in the past? I bought something 13 months ago, never turned up, no replies to my emails. I tried to contact her, and checked on here to see if she posted anything. gave up after 5 months, figured she was a scammer. I checked her profile yesterday and see she reappeared in April-Aug, have I missed her again? Does anyone know her? her email? her phone number? her dz? She posts in Gear forum and history and triva. think she is a rigger. Maybe she only uses a computer for the summer months and lives on a beach all winter and avoids contact with the world. Maybe she doesnt even know my gear never turned up.

I got a Rawa for my 1st camera helmet, done 2000 video jumps since and it does the job for filming tandems and fun jumps. Yeah its not a flattop pro and I'm not norman kent, but like someone already said your flying skills are more important than your helmet. You don't have to go out and spend a ton of money. Great posts - good food for thought on skydiver tangled with your drouge/bridle! Maybe adding in the EP for main container opening, and also not being able to depoy drouge would be a good addition to your cheat sheet.

Seen three bag locks in the last few months on Sigmas which havent cleared after TM cutaway. Both TMs had to clear risers, once they cleared, skyhook did its job and beat them to the reserve. Im told by the TM that had two of the mals that it becomes easier the second time

Done a few searches and can only find posts that are about 5+ years old. Is there a reliable tracking system on the market for finding your canopy once you cutaway? anyone had any experience with it? thanks Adam

done about 400 hc's. no big problems. I feel like I have to be more on the ball with my time in the plane and under canopy, to be able to do all the checks, briefing, pointin out the sights, having a chat, hookin up, letting the student fly the canopy -while trying to get all the footage and doing my job. exits can be tricky at first, or should I say the footage wasnt too good on my early hc's because I wasnt paying attention to the hc (which was a good idea). Now I find it easy to use a certain type of exit when i'm wearing a HC Having my left arm over the students left shoulder gives them an opportunity to hook my arm, more of an annoyance than a problem as you can twist out of it while getting another camera angle. I havent done it (yet), but forgetting your glove would be a pain in the arse - and an expensive jump if you dropped the camera. >What level of expierence level do you think a TI should have before use. Not for me to say. I started HC's early (around 100 tandems) I did lots of jumps just with the glove and no camera. Then even more with the camera but not filming. Good advice I got and stick to is 'do your job first and the HC comes second' learning to ignore the camera while getting the footage is a good skill to have.

I agree with Scoop. Someone killed that lad - and they are still out there. How often do you check if someone has cut your reserve risers or your PC bridle? between jumps? not very likely.........

Gaffled sounds like a good word, dont know what its means but sounds good Nar I think she is genuine. Just concerned for the wellbeing of my PC - and also Janet, who knows what could of happened to her!? she may be held hostage and me causing a fuss about my missing PC could save her life. Hmmmm the only thing Im trying to stalk is my Pilot Chute that I paid for 9 weeks ago. The only way Im going to find it is to find Janet Bowers. (javelin1) "............stalker - someone who prowls or sneaks about; usually with unlawful intentions" being about 7000 Miles away from the US I wouldnt be able to do much prowling of Janet if i did find out where she was.
