  1. I should have been clearer and said common or proper nouns only, abstract nouns are not tangible things and present problems as the objective of a war.
  2. Why not this guy..... http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070404/D8OA0VVG1.html No sock stuffing though, just a plain old notepad.
  3. Using a noun or two might be helpful here.
  4. I will refrain from responding in detail only because of the moderator's warning which you ignored.
  5. What a British hostage says to make sure that his head isn't removed from his body by his captors is not relevant. We'll just wait and see what they sailors say back on British soil. Quite, It is simply incredible that a free thinker would use this "confession" as evidence supporting Iran's position. If anything it indicts Iran over their exploitation of the hostages. If you ever wondered how such men came to rule over a great nation like Persia you need look no further that the willfull credulity characterized by accepting this apology as evidence. You're doing pretty good with that yourself.
  6. Obviously you have issues with the facts, you posted that they were released when this started, you don't even deny it but have the temerity to say I have comprehension issues. Ever since your first phoney propaganda post on this you've been bending over backwards to spin any excuse for Iran's conduct no matter what they do, including suggesting the Brits were spies, despite them being in uniform on a British flagged vessel in Iraqi waters. You preaching to anyone about comprehension is the pot calling the kettle black.
  7. Aweeeeeeeeeeeeeee how sweet. I think it’s a great outcome. If we had proof that the Sailors were not in Iranian waters I would agree with you. The fact is we don’t have definitive proof saying either. Considering how narrow the waterway is I think it is highly likely that a boat could easily drift to Iran side of the waterway. According to you they were released before all this started. According to you men in uniform under their own national flag are spies. Now you're still spinning about location and "drifting"?
  8. You might want to cut back on the caffeine intake there buddy.
  9. Dude, the guy volunteered for the Marines then decided he didn't like killing. He walked in off the street and signed up, you have to go out of your way to do this. You also have to be implausibly oblivious to be unaware of what you're getting into. And NOBODY has said hang em high, there's only one post calling him a shitbag, the only knee jerking is yours.
  10. Oh please, I'd like to see a 172 catch a 747 or even get close. They have sophisticated radar, ATC and fly in controlled airspace. Go sell that bullshit to the Secret Service, I hear they're buying in bulk. Edit: oh I see what you did there, funny.
  11. The governmental organization that establishes TFRs reports to whom? Secret Service. Now, if those Al Qaeda boys wouldn't have hijacked a few airliners a while back, then maybe GWB's TFR's would not be so restrictive on others. C'mon back. We should all send them the bill for the inconvenience. Maybe the president & his minders would be forced to grow some stones or stay home. Geeze, some guy in a think tank has a fucking brain fart and we're all grounded for the duration. It's absolutely ridiculous.
  12. that's a very short flight if you are a metric kind of guy. Bullshit is what it is. The guy has a 747 with countermeasures, and God knows what else up there with him. And the most likely threat is from the ground anyway. You can't even fly a paraglider for miles around when he's in town. Aside from this a NOTAM does nothing to deter a real attack.
  13. Jim arrived and pulled a nice cold beer from the mysterious box, saying "You know if you cavemen stop screwing with this thing & leave the door closed it'll work much more efficiently".

Would that be the Neville Chamberlain who didn't want a repeat of WWI where Britain lost as much as 20,000 soldiers in a single hour!? The Neville Chamberlain who presided over Britain's re-armament and preparation for the coming war against Germany through 1936-39? The Neville Chamberlain who faced down Hitler at Munich, knowing that Britain was not ready nor able to go to war at that time? The Neville Chamberlain who drew the line, and when Hitler crossed it, committed his country to a war he knew would destroy it because it was the "right" thing to do? The Neville Chamberlain who resigned in favour of a national coalition led by a more suitable leader for war? The principled, dutiful Neville Chamberlain who did the right thing at every turn, but was faced with situation which could never have been won? Or were you thinking of the "cowardly Mr. Chamberlain" who only appears in history books with pictures? Mike. The Neville Chamberlain who abandoned Czechoslovakia, returning from Munich with a scrap of paper declaring "I have in my hand a piece of paper, signed by Mr. Hitler, in which he assures us that there will be no war in Europe." Do you know the story of how that letter was written & signed? It's an absolute disgrace. Chamberlain has gone down in history as an appeasing fool, and rightly so. He was FORCED to resign after a string of disasters culminating in the evacuation of the lightly armed British Expeditionary Force, he did not gracefully step aside after Hitler invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia or after he invaded Poland or after he invaded the Netherlands, Belgium and France. No, Chamberlain was a bloody fool, to pretend otherwise is to rewrite his well earned ignominious place in history.
  15. The guy joined the Marines, expecting the Boy Scouts: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/04/03/BAGJEP0JVC1.DTL&feed=rss.bayarea
  16. What does the 25 jumps include? Is it AFF then solo for 25, is it AFF with a cap of 25 dives incase you're a slow learner, or is it AFF then coaching to get your A license? If you do really well you should solo on about your 8th jump. You still won't have a license though. At about 25 jumps or more you'll get your skydiving A license. It could be a good deal it depends on what happens after your AFF. It probably also takes a lot of the risk out of it, failing your early AFF dives with 2 instructors could get expensive.
  17. Isn't it ironic how none of the mainstream news media are mentioning this story? Google News Search Just two hits: Newsmax, and a local California paper. Is the liberal news media intentionally holding back on this story to protect one of their own? You can sure bet that if this issue had involved a Republican senator, that they'd be all over it like flies on s***. Maybe they remember being burned by the Pelosi jet "silly" story. Symmetry would require someone post some bollocks about oxes being gored but I for one can't be arsed.
  18. Unless you're given the benefit of the doubt like this.
  19. Ordinarily Europeans whine like stuck pigs when Americans aren't subject matter experts on their parochial issues. One dilettante takes an interest in topical UK politics and you....well........ whine like a stuck pig. As the Chinese say, when the finger points at the moon the fool points at the finger. Quit pointing at JohnRich and address the topic if you have the wit.
  20. Do you feel the same way about all countries? Not all countries are holding 15 UK servicemen captured in uniform that they can release at any time. Iran have complete control over this. I have no sympathy for any position that presents Iran in any way as the victim in this. They're causing this and are the ONLY ones who can end it now. Only flagrant bias blinds some to that fact.
  21. There's no such thing as a spy in uniform, never mind 15 spies in uniform sailing under their national flag, they were in Iraqi waters even according to Iran's initial report of their location not the revised position. But that is hardly the issue, they are being held hostage now without justification. Iran still hs the power to end this crisis at any time. If they do not they will have brought the consequences upon themselves. You can scream and throw your metaphorical feces all you like if Iran keeps up their attrocious misconduct all the bias you can muster will not avert the disaster that ensues.
  22. Iran can release the hostages at any time, it prefers to parade them on TV. Nobody but Iran has the power to end this crisis. You'll still bleat that the consequences of Iran's actions are unjustified, but every second of every day since the capture they could have averted them.
  23. I'm not convinced this isn't universal. Part of me thinks as a race we're incapable of handling the communication technology available without a new level of education. And I'm not just talking about the political zoo. I see people promulgating everything from pseudoscience crap to 9-11 conspiracy theories, and I think we are intellectually screwed as a race. Can we collectively be this dumb?
