Please tell us who does belong on TV. You have the option not to listen beyond that nobody deserves a veto.

My careful churchiful analysis of this statement means: one day with the lord feels like a 1000 years? What is he a slow talker or a one-upper or something? .jim This little gem causes all sorts of doctrinal differences, from the day of judgement to the millenium with Christ. Depending on how literally you want to take each reference. Just to make matters worse 1000 is seen as a symbol of perfection or completeness so it's kinda up for grabs.

Shouldn't it be feminists up in arms not Sharpton? Maybe they should blame the guy Imus was talking to then because he's the one that called them hos first. I blame the hip-hop culture....tsk tsk.

Not their flagpole, not their school, not their flag AND they stole the flag.

"one day with the Lord is as a 1000 years "

You make my point for me. All the crackers out there will be reading your linguistic summersaults in stunned amazement.

It certainly is, I'm glad BASE was able to change your mind.

BULLSHIT, a very good friend of mine used to tell me she had nappy hair and had to put work into it, it was never an issue for her. I'd never heard the word before but she sure never had a problem using it to describe herself. You're just selective about who is allowed to say what and when. When you lie about the universal offensiveness of words you do yourself and an entire minority group a disservice, making them look like antagonistic shit stirrers. He shouldn't have used hos, but the guy immediately before him used the word to describe the team and got off scott free. Now I agree that "nappy headed hos" is a dumb and offensive statement, but it had a context including the quote preceeding it. You don't get to redefine the language as insults whenever whitey uses a word you think is reserved exclusively for minority use. They were actually trying to say how badass the team was, and Imus fucked up, but not without a lot of encouragement from his interviewee. Did you hear the Al Sharpton interview, it had a CLASSIC "What do you mean, "you people"" moment, LITERALLY, I shit you not. Unbelievable! And I'm no Imus fan after what he said about British troops today, he showed what a fuckwited, conceited, senile liability he is, you still don't get to revise the language when it suits you.

Why not? They seem so grateful for the free education & social services America gave them.

That's what makes the suggestion funny.

Just as a point of reference... Armaggedon is not the end of the world. According to Revelation, armaggedon will usher in the 1,000 year reign of peace by Jesus. Not sure what happens after the 1000 years, though...the world might come to an end then. Final judgement after the rejects, heathens etc. get a chance to be taught/preached at by the folks who got in during round one, or so I've heard.

Neither did the liberation of Auswchwitz.

Maybe we should adopt China's policy on child birth. Only one. Applied retroactively to Gore?

I have no doubt that this is sadly true, but a Mexican flag over Sacramento is not the only route to bankruptcy.
-
Well I saw the first image and thought it was some right wing anti-immigration dude making a point. However, the second image shows it's actually some Mexicans hoisting the flags. What the hell are they thinking? It's a big fuck you to the country they're guests in. Unbelievable really.

Photosynthesis would help you out there.

But if I have a fern in my SUV I have to pipe the exhaust inside so it can consume all the bad CO2, right?

Rolling Stone: CIA spymaster says JFK assassination was gov't conspiracy
dorbie replied to AdD's topic in Speakers Corner
Do you know what one of the biggest problems/fears of the national archives is? Not people stealing documents, but people sneaking forgeries in to support a case. I'm not saying your cited doc was in there or was forged, but it is interesting to note what length some "historians" will go to to support their arguments. They have actually caught people smuggling forged documents in there trying to contaminate the record. Very sad. -
what the hell? now we're talking about sandwiches? cripes, this is getting complicated. Of course you shouldn't be able to eat a bread and butter sandwitch without buying a methane offset. Can I breathe without buying a carbon offset though, that's a freebie right?

Returned from Iran and allowed to sell story
dorbie replied to shropshire's topic in Speakers Corner
DZJ makes a good point and you should take note, just as you should have at the outset, but there are additional factors, like the abhorrent hostage taking and exploitation, and the testimony of free men in a free country. It's about more than words or posturing despite a complete lack of credibility. Ultimately it comes down to using ones judgement to assess and discern the likely objective truth, and it is clear you've let yourself down in this regard over this incident. By all means continue to make excuses for the despots running Iran. Perhaps they alone appreciate it. -
Is the British Military Trained by the French?

Training and attitude. Maybe you and he can team up in a dingy out there and we'll get a do-over. -

It beats "tatooed nappy haired hoes", maybe the old fart had a stroke last week and we're just seeing the fallout before he's diagnosed. -
Come on Bill, these kinds of analogies are your bread & butter.
