  1. For a rich guy he sure does focus a lot of time on spending public money, second only to tax avoidance on his list of priorities.
  2. I'm really surprised more haven't voted for dead critters on the doorstep. Am I to believe this is not normal behavior?
  3. Your True Love Is a Sagittarius Why you'll love a Sagittarius: Deep and philosophical, you'll love getting lost in hours of conversation with your Sag. Your Sagittarius is curious and adventurous enough to keep you interested... not an easy task! Why a Sagittarius will love you: You're passionate about a few important issues, a kind of depth that Sagittarius finds very attractive. You're outgoing, flexible, and up for almost anything. You and your Sag will have tons of adventures together.
  4. Seriously funny, really. He was physically unscathed, bloody lucky, really.
  5. Obviously you're not for freedom of speech at all. Not that this has anything to do with what's said in a private forum.
  6. The complexity and long odds of either makes it difficult to use your preferred belief to offset the other. Not at all, we just choose the simplest scenario. The Universe exists, the complexity within it did not exist at the outset but rather it emerged through known physical processes. So we can choose to explain the universe as a spontaneous emergence of space, time, energy and matter and the rest followed through known and measurable physical processes (and in fact such spontaneous random occurrences are explained to a degree by one interpretation of quantum physics). Or you can attempt to explain a VASTLY less probable existence of an omnipotent being in a robe and a big white beard who has unlimited physical abilities that confound mere physical explanation (sweeping the scores of other inexplicable deities under the carpet for now), who did it all and still pops round to meddle in his unfinished business. Go ahead, take your pick.
  7. Perhaps one where he has political aspirations and has a major campaign contributor? Perhaps, let us hope that the voting public remember this sordid episode.

    CIA on Trial

Not significant except for subsequent discoveries, they could still have been lost in the noise. The fact is they used traceable cell phones in their names up and down the road he was kidnapped on and this was the lead that broke the case and led to the identification of everyone involved through the tracking of additional call records. Even a dime bag dealer knows not to do what these guys did. Between Plame and the keystone ops I wonder if it's time to turn the lights out & close the doors.

    CIA on Trial

It is lamentable that they got caught via their cell phone records. Fucking pathetic for a supposedly clandestine organization.
  10. It's about time one of these leaders took themselves seriously enough to send the carpet bagging popstar packing. http://www.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idUSN0526853020070607?feedType=RSS&rpc=22
  11. That kinda lets Cuba off the hook no matter what. No scenario, option or opinion is explored that might cast Cuba in a negative light. It's absolute pro-Cuba propaganda. Instead of exploring the mundane it invests in wild fantasies about the CIA attacking Cuba with biological weapons, as if refugees aren't landing on U.S. shores from that island. It is ludicrous. The relevant house committies can't even keep their mouths sealed on CIA high value POW detentions never mind bio weapons attacks on civilians. What utter tosh.
  12. Well said, it was a foolish claim to make, it was a nationally televised adress available to anyone who cared to look, archived, documented & discussed at length. It's just a shame that the followup tried to further justify such a foolish claim. This is the kind of paranoid nonsense people expect to get away with and still be taken seriously.
  13. God is not a prerequisite of quantum mechanics.
  14. My question was addressed to you, feel free to respond with something of substance. Hi D I'm confused can you please help me out
  15. No apologies at all. Just saying she isnt exactly the anti-christ that some make her out to be and what she did was not exactly some hideous crime that deserves for people to call for her death, torture and Rape like some here have done. well, sure, though I don't believe such cries were anything more than hyperbole. Her crimes called for 23 days in jail, like the judge ordered, and not to be at home. The judge ain't a happy camper. Back to court tomorrow A.M. >http://www.examiner.com/a-769943~Paris_Hilton_Ordered_to_Return_to_Court.html The last time I was arrested after a boating accident I was all busted up in jail and couldn't even get an aspirin. Fuck her. Let her do her time. That Lee Baca guy is amazing, he's giving her special consideration then saying punishing celebrities more than the average citizen is not justice. What planet is he on? This guy has taken it upon himself to alter the judge's sentence and it's clear he has a bias.
  16. It was twice on the driving with the suspended license. The first time she was reminded of what that meant. Got more apologies about how all your friends did just that? Make that thrice, and the second time she signed a document saying she knew it was suspended.
  17. Yep. One for people that can afford LIARS I mean Lawyers. and one for those that cant. Welcome to the real world. been that way since Roman times I believe. Actually had that been You or I, We would have Never seen Jail time for those offences, If we had a competent lawyer of course. First offence DUI with a .08 BAC.. And then Probation Violation for Driving with on a suspended license.. Nope. Know several people that got caught for those exact things, Not Rich, Not famous. Only jail time they got was waiting for Bail to be posted. In the end she gets 3 days in Jail and 40 days house arrest. Sounds pretty reasonable for those offences. I am also curious how long her DL is suspended for as well. She violated probation and got caught driving on a suspended license THREE times. She had her chance to avoid jail for the DUI but she flouted the law and her sentence. Any of us could have expected similar treatment, except we'd still be in a cell. All this is besides the point though, how many people get let out of jail for being a suicide risk/basket case/ill? This defense is reserved for superstars and genocidal ex-dictators.
  18. There was an older woman on the FJC I took. Whenever the instructor threw a question back to her she'd git it wrong or kinda fake it (difficult to describe), it was obvious that she was not absorbing the material. She'd been on tandem jumps before and after the course our instructor just gently suggested that she stick with those for now. I remember thinking as a student on the course that she might kill herself and I was relieved the instructor did what he did.
  19. This is EXACTLY the worst outcome. At least it makes it clear to everyone that there are two justice systems.
  20. I doubt that. Do you know any really rich people (I mean multi-billionaires)? They are quite different from you and me. I know one and he's just a normal guy. He probably has to look out for people like you though.
  21. Congratulations, you've came closest to commenting on the actual conference, even if it was pure speculation.
  22. My question was addressed to you, feel free to respond with something of substance.
  23. Dorbie I sure don't want to exercise my right of free speech and voice my opinion on the G8 subject as a american and be labeled as a anarchist, conspiracy nut, commie lover, hippie, traitor or any of that bad shit. I'll keep my opinion on the "summit" to my self. Repeat after me: GW is the best president we ever had. Any decisions he makes are fine with us. "Only conspiracy nuts and anarchists have anything to say about these meetings" Let us bow our head and pray. FWIW So no one is confused this is not a PA deleting this post OTOH is what it is. WTF does that have to do with anything I wrote? Feel free to actually use your right to free speech to spout something other than hippie gibberish.
  24. Lets see.. they said "Here are the rules" The Rules were Broken. They did what they said they would do in that case. Who broke the rules? Who got punished? It's really simple, this cannot stand up in court. Anyone who thinks this is remotely fair needs to reset their compass.
