Moreover there was a public interest issue here, i.e. how the hell did an unreliable self aggrandizing narcissistic tea sipping political hack like Wilson end up (as he claimed) THE investigator in the Niger yellowcake investigation. (In my opinion)

So in this card game a spade beats a queen and either one beats a straight.

I just heard on Rush that Fitzgerald prosecuted Marc Rich and Libby was one of his defense attorneys. Hmm...wonder if it could be vindictiveness that motivated him. That's old news to me. We'll never know, I find the fact that Armitagh told Fitzgerald that he was the leaker right at the start and then Fitzgerald still went on his fishing expedition highly suspicious. I initially thought Armitage was well out of line until information on his forthright honesty damned Fitzgerald. The call in question was AFTER the info was published.

Sorry most of it is. I saw one letter bomb left in a garden, one pipe bomb, one small bomb found on a road some arson & all the attacks were foiled except the arson. If I lived in NI it would be newsworthy to me, but your complaint is not that it isn't being reported there, it's that people ELSEWHERE don't find it newsworthy. My impression is that people know that the Real IRA & similar groups are trying to disrupt the peace process. Perhaps if they didn't it would merit more headlines until they did. As for the trolling, if you are to be believed, you might want to read the forum rules.

Correct, in fact the investigation completely scuppers that theory so Libby is held up like a fig leaf to feign a scandal. It's political bullshit, I gess they really have something to talk about now with the pardon, but at least Bush showed some balls on a domestic issue for a change. I find Wilson's actions quite despicable. Wilson and Plame have done their level best to undermine this administration all the way back to before his tea-sipping in Africa. For him to go public with the assumption that he was the only guy on the Yellowcake investigation is utter hubris made worse by his laughable 'investigation'. He thrust himself into the limelight after his wife suggested him for the gig. Christopher Hitchens has more than covered this and Iraq's attempts to buy ore in Niger. The underlying truth here has been completely obscured by this orchestrated pantomime. There's not one pundit on the goggle box making the slightest effort to get to the facts which deviate considerably from the standard dogma of Wilson's 'no Iraqi connection'. You don't even have to look very hard: http://www.slate.com/id/2139609/ The idea that we need incontrovertible smoking gun unassailable proof or else agree with Wilson is completely unreasonable, BUT, in spite of this there's absolutely damning evidence of a connection that makes it damn near certain Iraq was trying to obtain yellowcake from Niger as detailed by Hitchens.

I think we have all seen how politicized THIS DOJ is... with the numerous firings ONLY in the cases of Procecutors not willing to play the RIGHT rulebook in their prosecution. If you are a friend of THIS administration you can get away with murder if you have the right political connections. Then explain how Scooter got prosecuted yet Armitage didn't. Are you saying Fitzgerald was covering for Bush or just Armitage? There's certainly less love for Armitage in the Whitehouse so it just doesn't hold water. Your case seems tennuous when it has to face these obvious contradictions.

I wonder how he'd have reacted if a gay cast member had used a racial slur against him?

New OSHA Rule May Regulate Gun Industry Out Of Existence
dorbie replied to Kennedy's topic in Speakers Corner
Gasoline needs to be mixed well with air or other oxidizer before it will deflagrate, as do many other substances getting mentioned here. -

Grain elevators can be made to explode. Doesn't mean that corn is an explosive. Gas cans can be made to explode. Doesn't mean gasoline is an explosive. APCP is a deflagrating agent, not an explosive. 4000 tons of real explosives would have made that plant accident look like a firecracker. can you imagine 4000 tons of anfo(mixed properly) used to make an explosion? Imagine 4000 tons of Hydrogen in a thermonuclear reaction!!! That'd make your anfo look like a damp match head. -

Yep but you already wrote this: Like I said tell it to the people of Henderson. 3.5 on the Richter scale. I am already familiar with fuel air mix and similar deflagrations. -

I was referring specifically to Ammonium Perchlorate which you chose to comment on. You know the stuff that registered at 3.5 on the Richter scale in the video I just linked to. -

She wasn't covert, so she couldn't be outed. It's very simple. If she were covert, how did the world know? A conundrum, I think. "Ms. Wilson was a covert CIA employee for who the CIA was taking affirmative measures to conceal her intelligence relationship to the United States.", CIA unclassified document filed 5/29/2007 with the Libby trial court, Then why wasn't Armitage prosecuted? The consensus seems to be that she did not meet the definition laid out in the act. . I'm sure you know better than the CIA what the meaning of "covert" is. And you know more than the DOJ about the applicability of the law? The reality of the outcome supports my view not yours.

APCP can not be made to explode even if you try to set it off with a detonator or wrap it with det cord. It just burns. It only burns fast if confined. Technically it deflagrates rtaher than explodes. It is far safer to handle than gasoline. Not only is APCP not a high explosive, it is not even a low explosive despite BATFE's bogus definitions. Tell that to the folks of Henderson Nevada & PEPCON. Here's a video of the stuff deflagrating to the tune of 3.0 and 3.5 on the Richter scale. http://youtube.com/watch?v=HJVOUgCm5Jk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:PEPCON_Explosion.gif -
I am British, born and bred, thanks. Do you know what an AP byline means? It's reach extends beyond NI. The claim being made is downright silly. Odd? Write a letter to the Times or whatever. Letter bombs, pipe bombs, arson, small bomb on road, all local dog bites man stuff. There was maybe one incident I thought was newsworthy further afield on that list, the foiled truck bomb with an unknown target.

This is a must read: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=465570 The guy says folks blaming foreign policy for their terrorism did their propaganda work for them and deflected analysis from the real cause; Islamic theology. That's damning and highly embarrassing for many, including more than a few posters around here.

Besides Kallend, you've reveled in leaks during this administration when they've suited your purposes, and don't seem to care about catching "whistleblowers" when the information they reveal undermines National Security in the cause of the left. Corruption and political bias in the 4th estate has reached new levels under George W. Bush.

You're REALLY struggling, Some are duplicates, most ARE links to British news sites even if in *some* cases it is an Irish subsection it just says it's of more local interest. Several are small scale stuff and/or inanimate targets. A small device in an envelope in the garden of a minor ex-official is local News at best and despite your claims the stories are still available online. This stuff rarely ever made a splash in the mainland press, especially foiled plots, letterbombs & arson. The only worrying thing here is that you actually believe you have a point. Time for you to come in from the cold I think.

Cops like that are a liablity, moreover that could be your son, daughter, nephew or niece in a headlock by an angry guy with a badge for doing nothing that any kid woudn't do. No thanks, we don't need this kind of guy with a badge. This video says it better than me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ch8g5ymr8aU They need to get a lawyer and teach this town, the police department and this officer that this is unacceptable conduct. But if you're happy for this to happen to your kids maybe you're just fine with it.

Flaming Car Rams into Terminal at Glasgow Airport
dorbie replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
Scotland is part of the UK John, you know that country that's over there in Iraq alongside America, don't make the same mistake many ignorant Americans do and equate Britain or the UK with England. See attached image to help you get your bearings. -

Yes, this was to keep him out of jail because it was ruled that confinement could not wait on his pending appeal.

Impeachment is the one exception.

Except that you now KNOW the leak came from Armitage . It is in the constitution, the President can pardon or commute the sentence for anything except impeachment. It is one of his executive powers. The first presidential pardons ever issues were to vacate sound convictions for treason.
