  1. ok, i hadnt had a chance to get out to deland because of my flight sheduale. i did about 6 mins in the wind tunnel in orlando and I feel alot more stable in the air (untill the door opens I guess) and the instructor at sky ventures had me doing good turns too.. im probably going to make it out to deland this saturday to redo level one. I looked at my finances and its almost certain I wont be able to complete AFF. Even if I could, I dont know about the jumps up untill A license. So heres my question, should I just get up to say like AFF 4 or 5 and take some time off, or being that im not going to be able to continue, would it be better just to wait untill I had enough to go and do the whole course and keep jumping with the student license
  2. Hi, Im new here, 1st AFF jump yesterday. I used the search function and it seemed like I got results for goggles for advanced skydivers. What is a good goggle for me to buy as a brand new jumper. The DZ has them, but they are kind of greasy and most dont fit right. Another student in our class bought some from the gear store, but his instructor wouldnt let him use them because they were tinted. So, as a brand new jumper. What should I get? I would assume ones like the DZ has for us to use, but what are these brands and what would they cost around? Thanks Alot Eddie
  3. well i took the first aff class today... i mesed up a bunch of stuff... exit.. arch.. my instructor actually pulled the chute just before my hand got to it.. i failed to perform the three practice pulls so he didnt want me fumbling around... haha.. forgot the landing patern and im pretty sure i actually landed with the wind.. well.. needless to say.. ill be back to redo level one.. Its unbleaveable what it feels like.. (like i have to tell you guys)
  4. Hey, My name is Eddie and Im going to school at Embry-Riddle Aeronuatical University in Daytona. I joined their skydiving club and am looking forward to my first AFF at skydive DeLand. I was going to try to do it today, but of course, the hurricanes had to come. LOL Anyways, from looking at the board and talking to the members of the club, the skydiving community seems like a great bunch of people.
