Very true. Muslims committing acts of terror upon other Muslims is no longer newsworthy. It is a near daily occurrence. Not as much in Turkey, so it does get a little of our attention. But we tend to just lump it in with all the other regular atrocities. But it is very disturbing that it has come to this if you do take a moment to reflect. Man loses leg after shooting lawn mower full of explosives

Just pay attention you half wits - you're next. fucking morons. Speaking as a North American, I think playing with this Tannerite would be fun. What's up with the Europeans? Maybe they have enough experience with explosives left over from the war to realize they aren't really good toys. As a boy I grew up playing with firecrackers that are now banned in Canada. I'm jealous, Americans have all the cool toys for boys to play with. Edit to add- I just found out, you can buy Tannerite in Canada. Became legal in 2014, before we got our new Pinko Liberal government. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free. -
Speaking as someone who makes his living hauling freight across your northern border I can assure you the better security is in place. Far better than before 9/11. The current talk about borders is not about terrorism though. It's about immigration. I don't think any of the terrorists arrested within the US sneaked into the country. They were either born in the USA, or they came knocking on the front door for admittance. But the terrorists have succeeded at least partly in the USA. They have caused many to act like they are terrified. And they have provoked a reaction that drives a wedge between east and west. The western world in general, and America in particular could have played their cards much smarter. What started as a band of criminals has managed to get the west to escalate the scene into a "war". A war with no borders and no state actors. So far. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

It is. What is the goal of the terrorists? The real danger is that we help them achieve it. Like GWB and the neo-cons did. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

So much of what he says he will do is very obviously not possible. Which brings up the two biggest problems I see with a Trump Presidency. First he is the biggest fattest liar among all the big fat liars. And second, if he can't do what he says, just what WILL he try to do? A complete black box. I've got no real idea at all. All pretty much true. I can admit to a personal example. When there is conflict in some place I've never heard of and a group identified as some sort of Christian is clashing with some other group, no matter what other religion, I feel an instant gut anger if it's the Christians being attacked. One that I don't feel if they are the aggressors. I attribute this to my Christian background. Even though I am not a believer, I naturally identify with that group. Even though I have nothing else in common with them. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Finally, we agree on something. Not only is the poll unclear, the BSR does not ban fly-bys. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

There is a good reason for that. When you quote scripture it is nearly meaningless. All it shows is that you know the Bible well enough to find something relevant to your post. We all know that the Bible can be quoted to support any position at all. Everyone from the sainted to the damned can find something in scripture to back them up. If you want to be taken seriously, you can appeal to emotion, as you well know. Or logic, which at least some will consider. Cherry pick a verse from the Bible? Well.... we may as well throw snowballs at each other. From our respective cities or enclaves. The Bible is a road map to living life alright. Any kind of life you care to read into it. When was the last time a BSR was subjected to a membership vote? Never? Not that it matters. It would indeed be a layup. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

That's funny. Even among the wingsuit group you are an outlier in your level of opposition. But that's beside the point. Just as there was no need to consult the bird people, the fact that some of them object is irrelevant. It's about the safety of the students. Nothing more, nothing less. To use a very English expression...Poppycock. People have always voted mostly on their feelings and what they thought would be best for themselves first, and country second. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

It was meant to get a rise, I'm surprised it took so long for someone to take the bait. Of course this is not the only reason. But I do believe there are enough people who feel this way that it tips the balance in the US against the kind of universal health care system that every other first world country uses in one form or another. It's not everyone, not even close. In my country I know first hand of many who resent the money spent on health care, particularly for first nations people. They tend to be very poor, and often not very compliant in taking care of themselves. I know people who consider it money thrown away. And if they had a choice, would prefer not to have their taxes used to pay the costs. There is no shortage of people who just can not relate, and feel resentful of those who look and live differently than the majority. I truly believe that this is the one factor that makes the difference in the case of the US. Your long history of racial division, although on the mend, is not yet healed. In Canada there was a bitter fight when Medicare became universal. But it was the doctors and others with skin in the game who were against it. In the US the fight is deeper. It goes to a gut level. It is a fight between those with good jobs who feel reasonable secure in their health insurance and those who can see the folly of the wasted money and the almost random suffering imposed on those with the misfortune of needing medical care without insurance. In other threads here we have people who speak of "thugs" and "feral people". This is only a subset of Americans who feel this anger, but once again I think there are enough of them to make a difference. For now. The times they are a changing (again). This time it is the demographic shift that is beginning to alter the balance. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

The rule is not harsh. Flybys are allowed with pre-planning and between experienced jumpers. Stay away from students. That is not harsh at all. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

If you believe that you should make a formal proposal. You seem to be having a hard time distinguishing between risk that is accepted because it is necessary for the task at hand. And risk that is gratuitous and has little or no benefit to the student being put at risk. But to answer the first part of your post. I have not heard of a time when only one ram air canopy was allowed on a load. If it actually happened it was never a BSR and it was only for a brief period while things were being figured out. Wow, do you live in left field? So many of your ideas seem to come from there! Single provider would be a monopoly. Single payer is a socialist system of paying. Everyone is covered. America is too frightened to go there. Middle America would rather just hope that there own lives won't be ruined in a personal medical crisis. They know it will happen to someone, but maybe it will be a neighbor, and not them. That way they won't be forced to give coverage to "thugs". And white trash. And all the others they fear. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
-
Single payer is far more efficient than the obscenity that is the US health insurance industry. They employ legions of people who have the sole job of denying claims and making payments as difficult as possible. Ask your doctor how hard it is to get paid and how much she spends collecting from them. The US government would not be the single payer. More likely it would be 50 state government agencies with varying degrees of private sector contracting. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. A large part of the advantage of a single payer system is the reduction in the overall size of the bureaucracy needed to support it. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Single payer system. Works for me. But Americans won't accept it because too many of them see it as freebies for lazy ass ethnic types. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
