  1. That makes as much sense as calling faith a mental disorder. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  2. I'm guessing the fire marshall might object to that. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. I beg to differ. Perhaps you misspoke. I don't know about the Australian restrictions. But the ones in Canada are far less onerous than the ones listed here in the UK. The UK ones are pretty draconian compared to ours. Any government that tried to impose them here would lose a lot of votes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Canada Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 4. Most people have no clue of the difference between a semi auto AR-15 and a select fire M-16. A couple years ago, during the "open carry of rifles" idiocy, there were a couple guys who walked towards the farmer's market with AR-15s over their shoulders. Numerous calls to the cops were made, most claimed 'two guys with machine guns' were walking down the street. Yes. An AR-15 is a very threatening looking weapon. You can make fun of people for not knowing all about the differences between models of rifles. But remember, the tough and threatening look is a large factor in why they are so popular. It certainly isn't because they are so useful. Why should you be surprised people are intimidated by them? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 5. Eastern Canadians go to FL in the winter to escape the cold for a while. Western Canadians tend to go to AZ or CA for the same reason. Like Americans, some of us go to NV to satisfy other "needs, wants and desires." Life in Canada is very much like life in America. Even the TV shows are the same. Since NAFTA even the beer is the same. We even have enclaves of religious people living together. And in the cities we have immigrants for you to fear. You would do fine in Canada. The biggest adjustment you would face is there are fewer black people for you to avoid. You would just have to do what Canadians who are like you do. Fear first nations people instead. Canada is not so bad. Cadet bones spurs might have come here to avoid the draft if he was not rich enough to bribe a doctor to lie for him. Oh, and you would probably have to give up some of your arsenal. Or at least modify it. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  6. It's working for you. You have the power to choose the life you want and worship as you wish. That is a result of liberal democracy. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  7. If you believe that you are just plain wrong. That list is simply a list of fears made up by someone. Do you really believe there is any organization anywhere in the world with that agenda? Are you really so far into made up conspiracy theories? There is no such agenda Ron. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  8. There is a lot of stuff there. But the biggest flaw in this whole thing is the assumption that Dr Dan gets to define the "true American dream". His idea of that may appeal to you, but it does not match up with the majority of Americans. He clearly wants the first Amendment to apply only to those who agree with him. That is a fatal flaw right there. So in order to keep things reasonably simple lets start with that premise. Do you believe in free speech for flag burners? Or Muslims. Or war resisters? Or people who sit during the Anthem? Are you a true enough American to support freedom for all? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  9. I'm going to give Ron a pass on this one. You are correct about the meaning. But I do believe he was referring to someone not just saying it, but shouting it. It has sometimes been shouted by terrorists as they attack, and that was the context he was speaking of. It does illustrate the fear that we in the west have of Arabs now though. It would do us all well to remember that sowing fear and mistrust between Arabs and western Christians is exactly what Bin Laden's goal was. Among his other plans, causing the US to go to war was a big goal. He saw it as a way to drive a wedge between the house of Saud and the US so that his group could take over in the Muslim holy land. Believe it or not, he thought they were not religious enough. My point is that he wanted more hate. He has been wildly successful. But Ron, you should consider that Allah Akbar is a common peaceful greeting in Arabic. It's like a Christian saying "God bless you" in it's normal use. 10. Please don't do that. Yes, it will make your canopy easier to pack. But at the expense of getting abrasive grit to damage the coating and simulate hundreds of jumps worth of wear. It's like giving a baby alcohol so he will sleep. It's easier on you, but not good for the baby. I do agree though. Whenever possible, buy a used canopy. Let someone else go through the hassle and save a few bucks. Modern canopies are good for a couple thousand jumps. You won't be wearing out your starter canopy.
  11. I dislike all of the major religions. I dislike that one the most. Based mostly on the events of the day. In the days of the crusades I would have said your religion was the one I liked the least. In the time and place that Jesus was said to be alive I would have disliked the one we now call Judaism the most. Organized religion has always been used for evil as well as good. Progressive liberalism has brought great freedoms to our world. The US constitution and the revolution were all about progress and liberalism. Like all great changes they were bitterly opposed by conservatives who were frightened that their world would be changed in unknown and frightening ways. The freedom of slaves, votes for women, and yes the freedom of men to have sex with each other. These are all examples of more freedom being given to more people against the wishes of frightened conservatives. Going back further the freedom of serfs from Barons and Lords is progressive liberalism. And was opposed by men in power and the church. You say that liberalism is about taking power and control. It is. It is about taking power and control away from the elites and giving it to more people. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  12. Just so you know you are not alone, and America is not alone, neither have I. No one cheered as loudly as me when Bin Laden was finally killed. And even though BHO was the POTUS who gave the order, I do not credit him for "getting" the bastard. The glory goes to the team. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  13. But.....Bush was POTUS in 2001. And he made it very clear that it was a war on terror, not a war on Muslims. I'm thinking it is quite likely that because you are against progressives of any kind, you were against BHO. And that is easy to understand. You are a conservative. But that does not make it right to accuse BHO of being a "secret Muslim" which is what conservatives really mean when going after him. Seriously again, BHO is and was at the time a good and upstanding family man. Someone who always treated his wife and children properly, as well as those around him. Even if you hate his policies can you not respect the man for being a good and decent man? I mean apart from being a liberal. And while I'm at it, this whole thing about being against progressives. Does that mean you are against progress? (I know, I'm asking two different unrelated questions here. If you answer them both I will answer some from you. That is if you are curious enough to ask.) Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  14. And just what is wrong with respecting and/or sympathizing with Muslims. Or Jews. Or Buddhists. Or Sikhs. Or Hindus? I could go on, but I think you can see the point. Just what do you mean when you accuse BHO of being a Muslim sympathizer. It's a very vague term, almost meaningless. Like a dog whistle. Just exactly what are you saying about BHO in this accusation? Seriously, what does this term mean to you? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. Perhaps God has "re-education camps" in heaven. For those how meet the technical requirement of accepting Jesus, but need a lot of work still! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  16. This would be fine Ron. Except that you often try to justify your political views through your religious beliefs. You are the one who will not separate them in your posts. Unless you are challenged, then you retreat to claiming they are separate. You frequently try to have it both ways. That is why so many people attack your faith. You bring it upon yourself. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  17. I don't see how that is possible anytime soon. It would require someone to run and to be elected POTUS on that platform. Along with both a Senate and House that agreed. Then it would need ratification. Things will need to get much worse before any of those things can happen. I have to think BIGUN is correct on that. There could be nibbling around the edges if the courts change their interpretation of the 2nd. But the 2nd is only slightly unclear, it has very few words. Maybe someday the "well trained militia" part will mean more than it does now. But I strongly suspect that will not happen unless there is blood in the streets and the "elites", read judiciary and government, feel threatened. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  18. I don't know about other systems. But currency requirements and recurrency training are both covered in the Sigma manual.
  19. I understand your point. By separating out the issues it may be possible to reduce mass killings with restrictions on some weapons that could be ruled as complying with the 2nd amendment. On the other hand, making a difference in gun crime altogether through gun control would require a constitutional amendment. One is actually achievable, the other is not. It's better to do what you can that to just rail away that nothing can be done. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  20. Nope But you are too emotional... I know you are but what am I? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  21. Sure it is relevant. The left always deals with numbers and emotion. The emotion I see is from right wing zealots screaming about their "cold dead hands". Numbers? Yea, numbers. Numbers count dude. They matter. It's like science man. Numbers help you figure things out. You got a problem with numbers? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. I am, aware of that bombing. It's not relevant though, so just move on please. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  23. They have very strict gun controls. That's how they do it. https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-dismisses-us-gun-lobbys-inaccurate-claim-about-gun-laws/ Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  24. Did you ever pray to your God and ask him to give BHO strength and guidance? Or did you ask your God to remove him? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  25. He is somewhat like you in fact. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/national/2015/12/22/obama-faith/?utm_term=.06d150af8727 Do you believe he is saved? https://www.factcheck.org/2017/01/eight-years-of-trolling-obama/ The fact is you have been lied to about BHO. And you chose to just believe the lies because of your fears. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
