Nice, pic jumpchikk-you are very pretty. Well, here are a few pics of me

Erin, if your eyes were not gorgeous, they'd be all out-of-sync with the rest of you!
-
If they are filled out nicely "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

I would turn to the right!!!! ______________________________________________ "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

Indoor Rock Climbing, Snow Skiing, Ride bikes, Hiking......... but more than anything, that is the time to get caught up on what you have neglected. ______________________________________________ "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

Girls, what part of your body is your best asset?

I guess my belly and my smile??? ______________________________________________ "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away." -
NO respect. My opinion is, she had another potential date, but was not sure.....she was planning on doing something with you, but when the other possibility asked she went with them instead....... She probably did not want to hurt your feelings and ruin the chance of going out later. Don't make plans with her again, she will never be able to commit to you, because she is always wondering "what else is out there" Just my opinion??? ______________________________________________ "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

I feel your pain! I recently broke both feet and my sacrum and coccyx. I was told I had to wait 3-6 months before jumping again. I have not jumped since Feb 10th, but 3 months is up on May 10th!!!! PS. Work on strengthening exercises for your ankle "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

I hope you go and have your ankle re-evaluated by the orthopedic surgeon that placed the hardware. You may need to have the hardware removed. "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

Instructors told me about the site when I wanted to buy my own gear.

MARCO ISLAND B@@GIE IS CANCELLED 2,15pm thursday
ergirl replied to judedre's topic in Events & Places to Jump
The plane was not flying inland, the jumprun was flying out toward the ocean..... I was in the first group of people (6way with stills) on our jumprun to get out. The others after us had no problems with the spot that I heard of. I am pretty sure the jumpers after the first group made it to the beach without difficulty. __________________________________________________ "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away." -
MARCO ISLAND B@@GIE IS CANCELLED 2,15pm thursday

First of all I am the first to admit that the spot was bad. Like mentioned above, I was an inside diver trusting my spot since there were 6 others on my dive. There were 2 other people who landed within a block of where I had my accident. I also know at least one other landed off and in front of the hotel. So, yes 4-5 of the 7 landed off and I don't think anyone is not owning up to the fact that we jumped too early. I also spoke with the pilot who said he wanted to take us out 0.7 miles before the cut, but he was told several times to cut, so he did. We all just need to learn from this and not worry about pointing fingers. The boogie would have gotten canceled even if I had not gotten injured. Thanks for the concern....I am recovering well. I have officially been diagnosed with a shattered sacrum from S4 down (pelvic fracture), blood in my abdomen secondary to above, and I have a 2 fractures in my left foot and one fracture in my right foot....both of which I can walk on without casts. I drove a vehicle today and I am returning to work on Friday. I am not pain free, but can deal with it. I know how lucky I am to be alive. I am not sure? I will have a B license by then hopefully....all I have to do is take the test. They will add the particulars soon hopefully. You can always email them as well. "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

The conference is for the Society of Emergency Medicine PAs and is March 28-April 3, as long as I am able to get off work to go. I will also be going to a boogie in Marco Island, Feb 10-13. I can't wait to skydive on the beach!!! "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

I will do that. How far is that from Naples? I will be in Naples over my birthday for a conference and I definitely would love to jump on my 30th!! "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

I found my rig by looking on dropzone classifieds. I had in mind what size of parachute I wanted and the things I definitely did not want. I just looked everyday to see what was new. I would recommend buying used, as everyone recommended to me, for your first rig. "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

If your doctor called it serous otitis then that means that there was fluid behind the eardrum. One way to tell yourself is if you feel like your ears are clogged, and you are unable to pop your ears by holding your nose and closing your mouth and trying to blow out your nose, or my yawning or blowing up balloons. I always prescrib a decongestant like Sudafed, but make sure to increase fluids with it. "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."
-
Afrin and Sudafed sounds like a good plan, but do not use Afrin for more than 5 days, because it can be addicting. It is important to clear the fluid before you jump though. I have had 4 sets of tubes as a child and then 2 years ago just had a tympanoplasty (new eardrum made) because of a hole in my eardrum that would not heal on its own. Just last month I had a sharp pain in my ear got on the ground, looked in my ear and I had blood behind my eardrum. Otherwise known as traumatic hemotympanum. This can be a bad problem. That is the main reason you do not want to jump until your eustachin tubes are functionally properly. "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

Well, Yes. It is 5pm and I just got to work. I work in the ER, so we don't get to close for Thanksgiving. I have to work from 5pm-1am the next 3 days!! Oh well, somebody's got to do it! "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."

Sore neck - how to make it better?
ergirl replied to el_chester's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I recommend that: 1. you ice for the first 48-72 hours and then you can alternate heat and ice. 2. Definitely ibuprofen 600mg (that is 3 over the counter, as long as you do not have stomach problems or allergies to NSAIDS) every 6 hours 3. Light easy stretches 4. Deep tissue massage. 5. Muscle relaxers will also help but you have to have a prescription "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away." -
I jump at Skydive Greensburg. The people there are awesome! A lot of new fun jumpers! I have met some really great friends. "Life is not measured by your number of breaths, but by the moments that take your breath away."
