  1. One quote I was told long ago by my Father in Law, and like is "What do Car dealers and Sperm have in Common?? They each have about a one in a million chance of becoming human beings". My brother in Law and Father in Law are car dealers and they are really good people and actually understand why people dislike car dealers. The industry has created the situation with all of the hidden front-end, back-end and hidden information and costs. But I agree that it has become a game of who knows more and how can you win the fight in the negotiation...I just bought a new Acura TL (Haven't told Dad yet as he sells Chryslers!) and got a good deal, but I was prepared to haggle. Started out at $34.7K and sold for $31.4K. He made money and I was happy, but why did it take 3 hours to get to that point? I am in sales (Capital Manufacturing Equipment), and when my customer asks for my best price, he gives me one shot before he decides...why do car dealers think they get 5 or 6 tries at their best offer?
