  1. It's da wife here, and it's Jumpnfun2, silly man. We will be there, and just might contribute as the man is once again (Thank God:)~ employed.
  2. Vans. No question. They not only surf well, but hold up to anything. My dog even loves 'em...takes him forever to rip 'em apart. This is a ode to the construction of the things. They last forever which means less money on shoes, more on jump tickets. I do also like my Teva's...alot. A bit pricey, but worth every penny.

I've told you a million times not to exaggerate. Seriously, it is not that hard. You should have more confidence in your abilities. Not sure who you are dude.(?) I do have confidence in my abilities.

Quote We have an old rig with the capewell thing. Not cool. You would die by the time you released the main and managed to get your reserve out. God bless you man:)~ I've had 2 rides to date, and that nice 3-ring is a beautiful thing. BS, Sue E.
  5. I've had this problem with my sport rig. I fly tandem video. I had my rigger modify the kill line to be basically a loop. The 2 kill lines are attached. When you go to collapse the slider, you just grab the line that runs at the back end of the slider. The lines are connected and cannot fly wherever to entangle with your other lines. It works great. BS, Sue
  6. I jump a TRV315 (Digital 8) and to date have had no problems. Knock on wood. I also use a CameyeII. Last Thursday I did 3 tandems vids back to back. The temp. at 'tude was 7 degrees. I was sitting with my back to the heater in the C182. The temp. change on exit was extreme. I froze, my camera behaved like a champ. I had a small haze circle in the center of my wide angle (.06) until I deployed. It cleared immediately. On Friday, Sat., & Sunday the temp at 'tude was around 18-20 degrees. Still no problems. I did have twice that the light (Cameye) started flashing blue after landing. Both landings were soft & on my feet. Both times I had a new tape and a full battery. I use all digital tapes (Sony). No D-box or condom. The helmet is an old Protec. I had to eject the tape and re-insert it to get the problem resolved. Just turning it off & back on didn't help. Other camera flyers at my DZ have had problems. Not all, but a few. All jump PC1....or the mini TRV's. Most use either a D-box or condom. Like I said, knock on wood. I may have just been lucky. My husband's TRV11 had some major issues with shutting off/zooming in at will during FF last summer. Worked fine on the ground. Worked fine in the plane. Once out in the air, it zoomed in/shut off. There was a chip that had to be replaced right above the tripod screw attachment on the bottom of the camera. The tape door also had a small metal piece that was bent causing the tape door to not fully shut. Once in FF, the air being introduced into the tape compartment caused the camera to shut off. Initially we also thought of the Cameye, but that was not the case. My Cameye lost the protective cover about 6 weeks ago. All the cool electronic chips & stuff have been exposed to the elements until last week when they sent me a new cover. No problems at all. It could be the temp. change, condensation due to moisture or temp. change, or just who knows what. Good luck:)~ Sue E
  7. My main takes 600' - 800'ft. to open. I jump a Batwing116 and a camera. If I'm at 2,000ft...that would mean I would have to decide at 1,400 or below what to do with a main malfunction. I do not have an AAD. I am a fanatic about watching my alti. I use a dytter. Could I ever find myself in this situation? Of course. We are all human. Shit happens. I've had a total, and went for the silver at 2,600ft. I'd been working on it from 4,500ft....my life is worth more than a $45 repack. Sue
  8. Ya, But debriefing the guy was painful. He just wouldn't stop smiling. Told me it was the best thing he had ever done. Had a ball, etc.... Didn't seem to remember much of the jump tho.... Sue
  9. Don't wear a tank top while jumpmastering S/L students out of a C-182. When you lean out to spot, the student gets an eye full. Refered to as a student flash, I owed beer. The student didn't seem to mind, but it took me a moment to get his feet out on the step...oops Sue
