  9. No. Once someone is cleared to self-jumpmaster it is assumed that they know how to take care of themselves. Checking the gear prior to putting it on is part of taking care of one's self. The operative word(s) here being: "Self-Jumpmaster". If someone else were responsible for for checking your gear/spot/exit/body position/etc... it wouldn't be "self" now would it? SkydiveAllegan.com
  10. Hmmm, I must say that that's the first time I've actually stuck in there long enough to wade through RealXtremes horrid user interface. That's five wasted minutes of my life I'll never get back... It did clear up the questions I had about the exit you were talking about though. SkydiveAllegan.com
  11. I have the exact same issue with a TRV22 and a Sony lens. It started when we got a stretch of hot and humid days and the camera was kept locked up in a trailer. Cleaning, taping, and/or removing the lens did little to alleviate the issue. I take the tape out, leave the tape door open and put it out in the sun to air out for a while and the problem goes away. 12. I don't ever "hook" their legs. The closest I get to that is if in droguefall their legs are off to one side of mine, I'll "scoop" them back in between mine or reach down and push them with my hand into a more normal position. I don't ever hold their legs with mine though. If we are in a turn I'll compensate with my body position unless it gets to be too bad at which point I'll release the drogue a little earlier. I've noticed that these turns tend to happen more often when there is a camera in their face, so they're probably focusing more on the camer than on a relaxed arch. If they pull their knees up on exit and overrotate us (back flips from 182) I'll just hold it a little longer until I have more airspeed to work with before throwing the drogue. Works for me...
