Does he really need to be worried about learning how to swoop with 38 jumps? I don't know anything about anything but it seems like a 7 cell would be a good forgiving canopy given that he isn't going to get much coaching or direction as there are no real experienced jumpers in his area.

I landed in a cornfield on my AFF-2, played around under canopy and got stuck down wind. Sounds like all and all you did pretty well. You pulled on your own at the proper altitude and walked away. Most importantly you came away with specific things to work on and practice. You'll be learning for a long time, learning is a lot easier when you have concrete things to work on. Talk to your instructors and you won't repeat the same mistakes twice. What suggestions did your instructors give you?

Being able to think during freefall

It isn't the same on the ground, because you're not on the ground. It'll get better and better over time as long as you remember to arch, pull, and flare. It's really cool when you start seeing other groups in freefall and under canopy while you're in freefall. -

Tell him you think he's got what it takes and he should talk to people at the DZ that are more on his level ie BASE jumpers, swoopers, instructor, etc... in fact bring up his plans around those people and see what they think. He'll get humbled real quick when a guy with a couple hundred BASE jumps has a chat him.

I love dogs. I have a chow chow that loves to travel and is very well behaved. It's much more the fashon aspect that bothers me.

Oh, and it's P-A-R-I-S Hilton. No need to be insulting the nice Perris folks like that... My bad! I must have Perris on my mind. It tend to see that Perris a lot more than the other Paris.

My girlfriend and I were having dinner the other night at a nice casual resteraunt and she noticed a girl holding a small dog as an accessory. My girlfriend, far more in-touch with fashons of today, explained that the rat dog accessory, a la Perris Hilton, is the new thing. The only question is what's more annoying the little rat dog or the owner?

Patiently lurk DZ.com classifieds! I got a wings contain, reserve, triatholon150 main, and cypress with 4 years left for $1,500. All it needed was a new PC. Everything in great shape! Why buy something new that you'll be downsizing again so soon? -
I wonder whether anyone objected to the summary way in which interim head coach Terry Robiskie was disregarded in favor of Romeo Crennel to coach the Browns. Not that Romeo's is going to turn that waste of a franchise around, and not that great defensive cooridinators make great head coaches, but stand out cooridinators deserve a shot to say the least. And when you're dealing with Cleveland you are definitly saying the least. I wouldn't blame race on that.

which either makes both people miserable, or ends in divorce when the homosexual of the pair decides to be honest with him/her self, or cheats with a same sex partner. I have a friend of a friend who's been in therapy for years, married with children, mildly religous, successful lawyer, and always talking about working on his "issues." And how he's been getting better not "acting out." Talking to him for ten minutes you can totally tell he's gay. I want to tell him, "you're gay, just be gay, and you'll be happy!" But all of his BS socio-religous mores have him wrapped up living a lie. Running him and probably his family in circles try to recover from a ailment that really doesn't exist.

Don't worry soon there will be a constitutional amendment to quash all those annoying protestors. Why do people always have to protest perfectly rightious God fearing people. I'm just happy to see that the good Reverend was able to recovery from such an incidious disease. It brings my heart joy to know that with W at the helm we'll make the world a far better place for WASP's everywhere. 'God bless America, and No Place Else!'
