My whole issue with this (womans .02) Is that if you are a religious person it clearly states in Exodus 20:4-5, "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God." These people are "hovering over it and placing rose petals, candles and praying at the base of it" Whats up with that?? I am not a Catholic, I do not believe that you have to go to confession all you need to do is look up and pray, God will hear you. I do believe that God gives us little reminders as to how close He is in our daily life, but I think He is disappointed when we take it too far. The thunder and lighting is different down South then when I lived up North. Not sure exactly how to describe it, more intense maybe the right phrase. I love a good thunder and lightening storm as long as the winds don't kick up and those funnel clouds don't form. I love to watch them come down the beach or across water ways. Spectacular!! So those of you that go back for a visit, does it seem like "home" or not? I live about 850 miles away from where I grew up. I visit the family and friends back "home" about 4x's a year. I miss it. Couldn't afford to live there and it is sooooo congested that I would go crazy!! I guess when I say I miss it, I miss the friends and family and the "familiarity" of it all, though I have lived where I am at now for 10 yrs. I enjoy where I live because I love the weather.
